I am as 'tone anal' as a person can be. But I liked this from the first strum. I've had mine for over a year and it's covered all my playing perfectly. Would be nice if the vintage channel weren't quieter than the bassman channel when playing clear, but I don't switch between the 2 while playing so it's all good. If you play blues to hard rock, this amp will melt your mind. Try it, and you'll wanna BUY IT!

Let's clear up the circuit board issue on this amp:

power tubes & preamp tubes are chassis mounted, not circuit board mounted. And they don't go through the chassis into a circuit board, like MESA, Peavey, new Marshalls, etc. This uses a circuit board, like a SPLAWN or Laney GH50L layout does.

these are nice amps. plenty of other youtube vids with perfect audio if your looking to hear one before you drive to a music store. i work at the guitar center in nashville TN, I've jammed through these a bunch. still a circuit board amp though.

Townend actually uses Vibro-Kings not Supersonics, they do however look very similar just the the Vibroking costs a lost more! I;ve got a SS head and I'm really pleased with it just debating on buying a SS 212 cab to match it.

J'hésite entre un prosonic d'occasion ou un super sonic...le critère principal est d'avoir le clean qui se rapproche le plus d'un twin reverb (style jeff bucley : telecaster + clean)tout en ayant plus de versatilité que le twin...

dude their amps don't suck for country players or blues players or surf guys but as soon as you put gain in the picture, Marshalls just out rock Fenders. Not for the price though.

I don't remember what I said to, but Marshalls are great as well. It depends on the music style one plays through them. Pete Townshend had a Super-sonic stack at that now famous 911 concert they did, and that's a man that lived and breathed Marshall and Hi-Watt amps for years, but the Fender SS stack sounded awsome. So to each his own I guess. Check the vid out I'm talking about. It also shows the range of the Fender Strat. Townsend himself, who always used Gibsons, claims Fenders are superior!
