yes the song says it all take it down from the mast irish traitors. all u people from dublin sold us from the north out big time didnt give 2 fucks about us
not all dubs accepted the treaty you know that , the freestate forces were made up of loyalists from ulster and british soldiers / black N tans and also southern cowards / west brits and wankers who believed the treaty would lead to a republic, but it is unfair to place all the blame on dubs , but some blame lies there also
Having had relatives who fought in both the War of Independence and Civil War I've read an enormous amount about the conflict...in the end it comes down to simple ambition on the part of DeValera. Knowing that he could not achieve the independence he craved he sent Collins as a sacrificial lamb and used the Treaty as a means to carve himself out a place in Irish history. Never make the mistake of thinking that conflict cannot be boiled down to a simple case of personalities clashing!
'On another mans wound'and 'The singing flame' By Ernie O Malley are two books that will show anyone interested, what really happened in this pivotal time in Irish history. Not history written by the winners but an honest account of a true republicans struggle.Google the guy he lived an amazing life.
Collins Suppose to do? Britain had said they would go to total War With Ireland. I mean the most Powerful Country in the World Who had just won a World War and Who wer only A few miles Away...Maybe they were bluffing but I think they
Well said, I supported the ideals of the IRA(My great grandad was tortured by the Free State)but think that England probably would have attacked so Collins was right to accept whatever he could get,Although we could have done without the whole Northern Irish situation

Yes an unfortunate time in our history. Forgiveness and reconciliation instead of bitterness can be the only answer i would hope.

I'd disagree with you there mate
After all if it weren't for the irregulars we wouldn't have any current republican paramilitaries
and DeValera did forward Irish freedom, were Collins sorta coped out and gave in. . .
