W8 a second...for more than a 1200 years, there were no Macedonia, it was just a name of a place, not a republic, kingdom etc. It was part of Bulgaria. The people there are bulgarians now, and have, no relation for example with Alexander the Great, who ruled this part of the world (and in some years all the known world :D ), but his people were not the one living there now. To call the nowdays Macedonians, the people of Alexander the great is to call the Americans, Indians :)
