  • my favorite part is at 4:35- 4:37 when he says YOU WILL NOT KILL :D

  • I'm guessing this song is what influenced Dino from Fear Factory.

  • @LivinWorstNightmare hey man, why are your lyrics mostly correct here but completely wrong on the "In Case You Didn't Feel Like Showing Up" version you posted? by the way it's

    PARASITES and syncophants

  • The 3 people that disliked don't know what real music is.

  • I’m certain he actually says You’re like a great big SPOT just waiting to get squeezed.

  • @hatoriihanzou Ah, I see. Well, that’s me put in my place, haha!

  • @Rascaduanok haha it's cool I thought it was "sponge" for the longest time

  • Each album gets faster and faster

  • @LivinWorstNightmare ministry became industrial with Twitch, not land of rape and honey

  • :)

  • Love Ministry, my dad was a huge Ministry fan back in the day and always played this when we went driving. I actually listened to the album today with him when we went up to Sacramento.

  • 1st cd I ever got along with Digital Underground ala The Humpty Dance! BMG lmao

  • This genre is called Awesome.

It belongs to a movement that started toward the end of the 80s with bands from the likes the Butthole Surfers and Ministry themselves, after which more Awesome bands such as NIN, Alice in Chains, Jane's Addiction, Melvins etc followed on. Now you may disagree with some of it, but if you ain't Awesome, you just ain't awesome.

  • @FreakyStyley95 The Butthole Surfers suck. Don't compare them to Ministry.

  • @Beelzebeard Whoa there. No need to attack the Butthole Surfers here.

  • @FreakyStyley95 this "movement" started with bands like coil, front 242 and especially throbbing gristle in the late 70's

they can be likened to dark dance and dark ambient/noise experiments deriative of kraftwerk's synthpop

bands like ministry, nine inch nails skinny puppy and front line assembly came later around the mid 80's and early 90's which combined the speed and instruments of metal with the harsh gritty drone of industrial

ministry first became industrial on twitch, not Land of R.A.H.

  • @CybertoothAURX good, except it was early 80s. puppy had a limited cassete run in like 82? and ministry was slightly before that. correct in that kraftwerk and throbbing gristle seeded them all. ministry had an almost pop song, every day is like halloween and sp had an almost rave song in sleeping beast

  • indy faggro boy needs to bone up

and get off justin boober and lady goo goo's breast. and GET A FUCKING JOB!

  • you are a pimple ass

    nuff said.

  • thanks for using my words. i control you. i love you.

  • People, it's not about love or not love heavy metal. Ministry is about The sound of the future. Where does it come from it's just a spell by Al Jourgensen ;)

  • @LivinWorstNightmare When i told you that Ministry wasnt metal related i meant these eras and these albums, i know of theyre metal eras but well i think i didint make myself clear. Sry

  • @LivinWorstNightmare You are so wrong, oviously i forgot to mention they're metal eras my bad but here is some info for ya.

Minsitry started as this and if you were a real fan you would know this:

    Ministry eras

SynthPop (Electro - Sososo life , same old madness, twich, with sympathy etc.)

Cyber Punk (The Land Of Rape And Honey, The mind is a terrible thing to taste etc.) people tend to confuse these albums with industrial

    Industrial (psalm 69 etc)

    Metal/Thrash (Rio grande, hiatus etc)

  • @GabloFX2 fuck you're retarded Cyber punk isn't a genre of music

  • @EnergizerBunny804

I disagree. Arkam Asylum is a cyberpunk band.

  • Comment removed

  • @GabloFX2 I don't care whatever it's called, either i like it or i don't.

  • @GabloFX2 Get your facts right, he does like Sabbath, he did a cover version of Supernaut on the Nativity in Black tribute with Trent Reznor on vocals as "1000 Homo DJs" ;)

  • @GabloFX2 I think you made up that last part.

  • @frootloopwarriors Nope dude its actually true, they have 4 different stages

    Synth Pop

    Cyber Punk

    Industrial

    Metal & Thrash Metal

And if you don't believe me, Al collaborated with Jello Biafra, Jello is the frontman from the punk band the dead kennedys.

  • @GabloFX2 There are too many elements of Ministry's music that contradict your statement.

Phrygian mode used on distorted guitar = Metal

Blast beats on the drums = Metal

Alternating flat 2nd and minor 3rd on guitar (starting @3:28) = Metal

Slayer took many of their influences from punk also, but guess what,

    Slayer = Metal

These are the facts. You need to get them straight.

  • @heashon2000 My statement was not complete, but thanks for your info. I will stop being a troll. I posted a list of their music evolution. They started out as synth pop etc. XD

  • For the longest time I thought he was saying: "Cease! Fire!" Come to find out he says "Thieves! Liar!"

  • I heard PRIMUS open up their set once with a cover of this. It was Lollapalooza in '94 (I think). Les Claypool played the opening riff. When he said "get up" and the drums and guitar came in, the whole place f**in' erupted. I'm not really a PRIMUS fan but it still gives me chills thinking about it.

  • NO DISLIKES!!!!! FUCK YEAH!!!!!!!!

  • @TheAntihero6212 naaah, because you said that, theres one now....couldnt you just leave it ? -.-

  • Is that a Drum Machine or actual drums in this song?

  • @TheAntihero6212 It's their drummer, Alan Reifken. He played on an electronic kit, but NO drum machine!!!!! The snare roll, I swear to god couldn't be done by a mere mortal. Al Jorgenson swears Alan did it without manipulation!!!!! Dunno whether he's right, but, love it the same!!!!

  • @catsmandoo1 The drummer's name is Bill Rieflin, not Alan Reifken, FYI.

  • Excellent

  • Ministry+NIN=Industrial Metal For The Epic Win!!!!!

  • i love this music its heavy metal for the win

  • How's this not get more listens? That's what's wrong with the flavor of music these days.

  • @spininpints looks like it just got uploaded in feb anyhow POLICE OFFICER, KILL EM, KILL KILL KILL,shit im here in my wifes name

  • Ohhhhhhhhh, yeahhhhhhhhhh! Such power
