i got 2 a few days ago, and my black one is scared of me, but the white one always jumps on my hand when i put it in. place food on your hand and keep it in the cage(this may take anywhere from 1 minute-15 minutes for the mouse to warm up to you, but it's worth it.

hm...they must have been 2 males because they tend to fight eachother, especially if they're not from the same litter. i dont even know the sex of my mice, but i caught them fighting over food today...so im hoping they're not 2 males, and if they are i hope they dont continue to fight and kill eachother =(

what kind of bedding do you use in their cage?

i've had all kinds of rodents and i've heard that cedar or pine are hard on their lungs.

have you tried using aspen wood bedding? it's not that expensive and it's better for their respiratory system.

i do use aspen bedding, cedar and pine are cheap and my mouse only deserves the best. :)

i think aspen is the only good bedding

ps: its only bad if u use the bottom of the bedding stuff... with sawdust and stuff...

i use this stuff called CAREFRESH.

it's pretty expensive but they seem to like it... it's soft for their feet... and its great at absorbing pee haha

you still need to clean the cage as much as you would with aspen but i find it much better.

i think that the particles from the wood is distributed all through out the bag... plus cedar and pine have a strong aroma and i think that's also what causes lung problems.

it's cool you use aspen though ;)
