  • Adagio for strings really emphasizes the sadness within this intense journey! The longevity of the notes and the minor chords just really evoke that hopeless feeling the parents have at some points in the movie! The acting feels so raw and surreal. I am really enjoying such a haunting and lugubrious story.

  • at 1:11 when augusto opens the fridge, you can see a picture of the real lorenzo on the door.

  • I have to watch this in my anatomy class. We all cried :(

  • what an incredible and remarkable and extraordinary beutifull women susan sarandon is i mean she is absolutely gorgeous look at her eyes and her skin and that deep fiercy fire red hair im absolutely in love of that women i know she is nearly 60 now and even that im 30 ill absolutely be with her come on look that slender totaly hot body she is a real women not like that plastic slut of angelina joly, this is how a classy mature outstanding women should look like

  • @mydawgsbeast81 Same here. One of the first flicks that I actually cried over.

  • It would suck to have lorenzo's health problem :(

  • the dream was pretty creepy

  • i think the relation is inverse proportionality one goes up the other goes down or one goes up and the other goes down.

  • he is just dying slowly and suffering too much instead of dying in peace

in some cases death is a relief

  • Lorenzo had heart, to suffer and live... my god, god bless him

  • @TheLadyshewolf08 Not by 'choice' of course.

  • 4:14 lol

7:17 Maybe the added carbons are floating around freely so there's a limited supply. If one snatches them up at a quicker rate the other can't get as many.

  • who is the boy who played lorenzo?

  • joysmydinner in real life did he rel have the tube in his nose or waas all of thta machine stuff in the movie fake

  • I saw this movie when I was just a kid, and I didn't fully understand it.

But I always remembered the part at 8:18 and it really freaked me out.

  • In the dream lorenzo is saying venti, ventidue, ventiquat, it is italian for 20 22 and 24. These numbers are the saturated fats used to slow down his disease in the end. C22-C26

  • did the kid in this movie die or is he still living

  • @darkmoth2930 he died in like 08 or something, when some food particles got stuck in his lungs, his mother died before him due to lung cancer in 2000

you can probably find it online

  • @joysmydinner he died of Pneumonia and probably wouldve survived if he wasnt in such a damaged state of degeneration

  • i love this movie!

  • im watching this in science, and im wondering if the real lorenzo wanted to live? or what?

  • @iSLANDERtrev we're watching it also, and i think with all the nuerological damage he suffered he wasn't aware of much. at least i hope he wasn't. i think it would really be a blessing if he couldn't feel anything.

  • Herderson?

  • @iSLANDERtrev He lived to be 30 he died in 2008 (wow is all I have to say)

  • this has a great cast, i love it

  • i love his revelation through his dream

  • why is the use of colesterol reducing medicines advised in that diseases' case?

  • He was reading studies about the fatty acids in order to figure out how they worked, but since cholesterol research has always bee a big deal, the books dealt with that rather than the part of the chain he was interested in learning about.

  • @Shareazu

lovastatin has some therapeutic benefit on lowering c24-c26 levels in ald sufferers

it is an anti cholesterol drug

  • Lorenzo is played by several actors.

  • oh ok thanks that's why i had trouble finding the actor for lorenzo

  • just imagine how terrible it would be if you were the bot in this situation and your parents asked youy if you wanted to live or die, and you wanted to say yes but you wouldnt be able to tell your parents you love them.

  • i dont think he wanted to die; he can say yes or no so they prolly asked him if he wanted to live or die and he answered yes to live

  • omg this has me crying its soo sad ]:

that little boy is a good actor !

well was lol since the movie's pretty oldd.
