heh, finally a standard game between these 2 players. what killed Horang was that he didnt manage to do any damage with his Reaver harass, after committing all those resources to it, and delaying his expansion. Frozean, while not dealing that much damage with his FD push, slowed down Horang, and more importantly kept him out of his own base and of course gave him a full scout. thus he knew to get the Starport and Wraith to counter the incoming Reaver harass and completely stop Horang cold.
WTF?! He spots the drop with 5 dragoons, sees the vultures going to his mineral line, brings additional goons and still the last vulture remains there for a whole 40 seconds until it is dispatched and that when it wasn't even microed.
Every D- player would've killed it faster in that situation! I'm voting this the unpimpest plays I've ever seen in an OSL-match!
He obviously had all those dragoons in a control group and was trying to mount an attack while at the same time defending and he kept mistakenly moving the dragoons away using his control groups. Too bad.
It looks like he had all his dragoon force hotkeyed and on the attack, including the dragoons trying to finish off the attacking vultures. Under pressure he was unable to un-hotkey the dragoons defending the mineral line, so kept pulling them forward
Good point by commentators about SCVs and dragoon damage. It's kind of silly that it takes 6 shots to kill an SCV and 8 to kill a siege tank, but it's just a quirk of the otherwise effective damage system.
Similar to Warcraft 3, Starcraft units have different attack and defense types that do additional or reduced damage depending on what's attacking what. Unlike War3 however, they don't provide the info in plain sight.
goons do half damage vs small sized units like zerglings zealots and scvs, 3/4 damage vs medium sized units like vultures and wraiths, and full damage vs large units like reavers tanks and ultras
The comment about having one hand with two mini-fingers made me lol hard for some reason.

Nobody can be at their best when they're nervous and frustrated.

Ok thats really interesting can someone please give me a list of unit attacks and the damage reduction/increase they do?

Wraiths are large units.
Lurkers, hydralisks and vultures are the only medium units in stacraft.

In Horang2's defense, it's tough to win a battle when you've been plaguuued. He looked a little delusional at the end. Poor guy :(

Hmm.... It's STX_SOUL_FrOzen... Not Frozean. :P
Pretty cool tho, better set then i expected

No, his nickname is Frozean.

Ah I must have missed the part when they called him that (altho I've been watching for just about exactly one year now). Or just dont remember.
kickit246 2 years ago
Well at least it's better than his other nickname "Cuteangel".
kujamannen89 2 years ago 2
Dang, I used to really like Horang2, and then there weren't many videos of him. Fun with the carriers, but man, that last game was SLOPPY.

What's wrong with Horang2?.... Leaving the vultures to roam free in the probeline like that..
