  • I was born here 03/20/55 my parents were evacuated as refugees lost everything!

  • thank for the video here.my parents got married here on august 27 , 1955 in ansonia connecticut.my mom was a nurse.she almost lost her life.by traveling a bridge across a bridge in derby connecticut.enroute to the griffin hospital.thanks for letting me see what my dad and mom.also their families went through.

  • It's remarkable the contrast between everyone coming together to rebuild here in 1955 and what happened after Katrina 50 years later... when the police officer on the street said Go to hell its every man for themselves... President Bush barely gave a damn... and of course Michael Brown resigned.

  • Where did you get the original footage from? I'd love to see this without the constant interuptions.

  • lololololololololololololololololololololololololololol

  • I lived in Ansonia at that time and remembered this very well. Although it was a sad time with much loss, families and friends pulled together and rebuilt. Many of those family members and old freinds are no longer around, but there strength and love will always be in my heart. Thanks, Joey

  • To think, this happened in my hometown ._."
