@violaSkywalker cool question! The info I read said Apollo was the god of music, poetry and light (and other things as well.) Most google answers say that Orpheus was not a god, but rather a hero/prophet - one sight said he's considered half god, as he was the son of Apollo. Fascinating material on google about the life and death of orpheus (was an amazing charmer with his music, much like Alex) ~ but I still think of Alex as more like Apollo.

I just watched Depue De Hoyos in Mansfield, Ohio. Hoyos was unable to make it, but a guy named Joel Sanchez sat in for him and he was amazing! Depue was outstanding! I have never heard a fiddle played so well! Loved the show!
