cable mgmt. is NOT only for air flow, it's also for looks. IMO When you build a Extreme rig you want it to perform well and look nice at the same time. Also why a 1200w PSU?
Well i have done new cable management since then that looks good as well, but the video wont upload for some reason, it comes up with an error. oh yeh i got the 1200W psu for cheaper than a 600W psu it was brought down heaps cause some guy had bought it and taken it back and told them it didn't work, tested it and it works fine and has been for about 6 months he must have forgotten to switch it on at the power.
Where did you here that, everything plugged into your electrical outlets use power weather they are on or not., some appliances, cell phones, laptops, computers, ect eat more pwr than others. A 1200w PSU is going to consume more power than a smaller wattage PSU whether your PC is on or not!
Yes it does consume a little more but it won't consume the whole 1200 watts if your computer is not drawing that from it. but i'm not paying the power bill :)
No cable management holes on the mobo tray. ill make some when i get my cpu cooler or graphics card, whichever comes first. i know it doesn't look great but my cpu temps are down from 34 to 29 and my GPU temps are down from 57 to 53, i would say that's a fair achievement

yes your right, it will not consume 1200w, that is it's max output. there should be somewhere it should tell you how many watts it consumes per hour.
