why is it when i play there doesnt seem to be anything behind it. I'm only a beginner but it just sounds so dull. Like i can play the slowish bit but it sounds so dull.

Well maybe it is because I am using a Wah Pedal for the fast part. Furthermore, in order to get the sound alive you have to use little bendings, slides and harmonics, but very important to use these by feeling. Hope I could help you :)

you got some really good guitar skills there. you use your pinky really well! very fluid. but at parts ur effects seem to drown out the notes your playing a bit. i know slash is a fan of serious reverb and delay but try make it your own a bit with the effects. but good work.
