  • I love it

  • the 1969-1974 Ford Capri was assembled in

    Dagenham, Halewood, United Kingdom

    Genk, Belgium

    Cologne, Saarlouis, Germany

    Homebush, Australia

  • parklife

  • she's beautifull (Y) gotta love the retro's fords :')

  • Great car- Great condition!!

give those rims a nice re-fab (silver- black) if you insist on having it in its original specs or find a nice Rostyle set and the wonderful Capri will be excellent!

    I love vinyl top!!

  • Nice

  • oh and i forgot to say this: loooove it, the colour is beautiful, the vinil roof everything, great job dude..

  • "(Just incase anyone is wondering, I'm afraid it's not for sale and never will be) " AMEN dude, never sell that car, i got one on my garage too and it will be in the family as long as I live

  • BEAUTY

  • it is a wonderfull car. you are very lucky to own a beauty like that

  • Stuuning motor, you are rightfully proud. Keep it in the family.

  • hi great car! i was just wondering what kind of car it is to live with? like roughly how many mpg and maintinence and handling? i've heard they're a bit tail happy but i've fallen in love with the mk1 and am thinkin of buying one

  • hi, what a small world. checked out your ashes video. im poirot in ashes youll spot me mainly in last episode. i also used to be mk 1 capri spares. i had the exact model as this in the same colour lime green. very rare. i did own over 100 mk 1s but the lime green one was in very good condition when i owned it, and was the only one i had in that colour. it doesnt exist now. all the best poirot.

  • Beautiful - Is that the original colour? I don't recall seeing that kind of paint in the early 1970s. Based on the Cortina all right, but check those rear lights, same as they used on the Escort at the same time.

  • I think we never got these car here in the USA. Beautiful car, love the color green.

  • Intro'd in the US in '71. 1.6L or for $100 more, a 2.0L. Stock interior, or "GT" package(a useless plastic console w/clock, but it looked better). 2600 V6 arrived in 73. I chose a blue 71 1600 over the Vega, Opel Manta 1900, & Opel GT, & was told by a Chev salesman "Don't buy a Capri, it's unproven". I replied "It's based on the Cortina, which has won more racing titles than any car in history". We know how good the Vega was! Love hearing the sound. People who slag Capris are TWATS!!

  • That was full of WIN! Great comment!

  • nice cari man...hey check out my 69 mk1 GTR!! capri.

  • Wonderful car: in the condition rare cars like this are meant to be: preserved, unmolested and completely standard. I call on those who really like Capris to NOT kit out and do theirs up, the same for earlier Escorts.

My regards to the owner of this Capri, I hope it keeps on going. Well done!

  • nice!!

  • I had a 1976 1600, on a quiet night you could hear it rusting but I loved it....

  • hahaha

  • I have one just like this...but mine is Yellow!!

    Beautiful car...

  • how much does a Ford Capri in this condition costs ?

  • Holy crap look at the side view mirrors!! it looks cool but I can't see anyone being able to see anything out of them. I have a '74 Ford LTD [north american version], and though the mirrors are in the correct place, they're so damn small! they're totally useless, especially the passenger side one, but they look good, and they dont stifle the shape of the car and that's the important thing!

  • Has anybody got any footage of a Broadspeed Bullet Capri,Used to have one (Reg. no. SOX55H)and really miss it. Thanks

  • thats one nice pre face lift, shame about the roof and no bonnet power bulge, but she's a looker :-)my first car was a 71 pre face lift 1600L evergreen metalic,if i won the lottery..

    BAT 218K RIP.

  • It's a spctacular car, my father had one 1600 GT XL and it's the car of my life!!!!

  • I own an 86 Foxbody capri (5.0) but I'd love to have one of these little beauties!

  • What is a foxbody capri?

    5.0?!!! tell me more..

  • I can't find the links I want, so search Mercury Capri in the browser! There's also tons of pics on Google images

  • great video. used to own a 1600L model in copper bronze metallic.(1973). I think they gave it a facelift circa'73. plenty of room under the bonnet, no doubt to squeeze in the larger engines available.eg2 and 3 litre engines.

  • wonderfull, just wonderfull :-D

  • But dude why green? Must be fun adjusting those rearview mirrors ha? This is one of the best looking cars ever. I´m gonna buy one.

  • hey mate, just like to give you a pat on the back for keeping such a beautiful car in imaculate condition, i bought myself a 70 1600gt as a project nearly finished ;) i like the little edition of what looks to be L plates

  • Bellissima Ford Capri bel VIDEO

  • Grazie! :)

  • Interior is sweet. I can't believe they put such a tiny engine in it :/

  • thats fukin luvley m8, never seen 1 like it

  • My eyes lit up when i saw your link and as i clicked i was thinking "hope it's not green"...lol. Beautifull car mate in stunning condition just not my fave colour...9/10.

  • The colour does certainly have an advantge....I can't lose it in a car park ;)

  • stunning car mate...

    love the colour

iv just broken mine, my own fault

(search for "ford mk1 capri" its the bronze one that follows the anglia out of the ace)

  • very nice ,my unkle had one....long time ago

  • The interior is gorgeous, I must add.

  • Does it run still well?

  • Yes it runs like a dream :)

  • more like le-man lover green.

  • Thanks. The green is called "Le mans" green.

As my video 'blurb' says this car has been in the family for 30 years, so I don't know if they are hard to get hold of. I have seen the odd one on e-Bay now again but the condition of the e-Bay ones does vary greatly, as do the prices.

I am in a local Ford club and we have several Capri's. Google 'Isle of Wight classic ford' for a look :)

  • has this been souped up at all mate

  • No it's all as it was meant to be although it did have a respray about 10 years ago - same colour though :)

  • I like the green of it , top stuff.

Are these mark 1 hard to get ahold of?

  • nice car!

  • Capri mk1 is my favourite. Timeless design. Now let's run the baby.
