actually, catalan is a language which has several dialects, I know 6 of them, at least. However, there is a standard catalan which is the one spoken in Barcelona (capital of Catalonia)

Catalan is not any kind of spanish stuff or dialect, it's an own romance lenguage wich comes from latin.

So, people who sais catalan is an spanish dialect shouldn't talk when the just know nothing about that so please shut up your f****** face.

Catalan is a separate language from Spanish, though the two are closely realated and basically mutually intelligible, at least Castilian Spanish.. It's spoken in Catalonia, where Barcelona is, as well as being the official language in the country Andorra.

@musikndmauri The funny thing about Catalan, is that it's closer to Provençal, a dialect of Southern French (unless that guy lied to me). Catalan has it's own place in Spain, but it's NOT Spanish, not quite.

@RoyalKnightVII The thing is, these languages you guys have, and you say are not even related to spanish and are sometimes called Dialect, are called this way wrongly, since a dialect is that of a language spoken a different way than the usual, it's nothing geographic.

There're 5 official languages in Spain: Castillan Catalan Euskera Gallego & Aranès. They're not dialects, they've been proved as different languages by any philologist you may find. If it's the same with mexico, complain u guys!:)

@musikndmauri Spoken a different way? so far as German is spoken differently from Basque. Of course, Basque has nothing to do w/ romance langs and the others are indeed languages but in colonial situation the colonized languages are called dialects in order to diminish respect and bogus reasons are conjured up, the problem is racism in the country and the mestizo concept, I assume but is there such a thing as a Catalonian mestizo? That is a who is less Catalonian due to having Spanish "Blood'?

@RoyalKnightVII No, in Catalonia there is no concept for "mestizo". A person who speaks catalan is automatically considered by others as a member of the catalan people. In the Catalan Countries everybody has foreigner surnames. I, for example, have spanish and occitan last names, but I'm a catalan as anybody else, and furthermore I want the independence of this country where my ancestors went to live their future.

@Luixmai Los xarnegos no fue nunca un concepto racial sinó de procedencia, para indicar los extrangeros (con un mtaiz de menosprecio, es verdad, como suele pasar en muchas sociedades tradicionales). Ningún catalán de apellido castellano que hable catalán (como yo mismo) será llamado xarnego. Y además actualmente este concepto ni se usa (ni tan siquiera con los espanyoles no integrados que viven en nuestra sociedad, que hay muchos).

Pues el actor que dobla a frollo es el mismo que lo dobla al castellano, Constantino Romero. Mientras que Quasimodo, para la parte hablada, tanto para la versión castellana y catalana comparten doblador, Luis Posada, solo cambia en las canciones, que en catalán es Daniel Anglés.
