  • both versions are different. both are great. this one a little more jammier, the original a little more sensitive

  • Great singer, great cover, but nothing, I repeat, NOTHING, can beat Lennon/McCartney harmony. :)

  • Freakin' Awesome but still just a cover.

  • My favorite cover of a Beatles' song. So wonderful.

Also love Aretha Franklin's "Jumpin' Jack Flash."

    And John Entwistle's "Cinnamon Girl."

None of the covers I'm crazy about are better than the originals; rather they showcase the brilliance of the original song.

Musicians who have an ear, inspiration and the talent to do it are rare.

  • This is a classic, just classic Stevie. This version is badass, and so is the Beatles, hell i dig 'em both. The Beatles original version is more pop oriented while Stevie's a soulful cover version. To me both versions are great.

  • ¡¡Güiken Guorkirap!! yeheeahhh!!

  • im not racist k

  • i could pla y this over and over just love it

  • Not bad! I still prefer the beatles one but I'm an hardcore fan (I usually hate beatles cover). That means that this is a great version :-)

  • good cover, but saying this is better than the original is like saying i poop on my dick.

  • The best harmonica solo I ever heard!! EVER!

  • original is best..

  • @TheAres2201 shut up and enjoy :D It's all music bro :D

we all know that paul is the best bla bla bla... stevie rocks!

  • @caquimay i m not saying this one is bad but original one is the best ... :)

  • if SW had done every beatles song during this season he would have toped the original

  • beatles > this shit

  • @cubsfanforlife1 stop being a racist scumbag, admit what's obvious my man! you know stevie nailed this one, it ain't about colour of one's skin

  • I am a HUGE Beatles fan. But I gotta say that this version of "We Can Work it Out" has the Beatles version beat hands down. Go Stevie!

  • why are there three minute fuckin commercials before the video??????

  • Possibly the best cover of a Beatles song.

  • i guess the whole point of doing a cover to a song is to make it sound different other wise it would defeat the purpose....that being said i still prefer the original better, but this isn't that bad

  • so dank

  • one of a kind!!!!! that's why he was nick named "The Motor City GENIUS" back in the day

  • I love Stevie, and I like this version, but no way is this as good as the original. The Beatles version had Paul's optimism mixed with John's pessimism. That subtlety gets lost in this version.

  • alright found out!!! Is that a hammond organ on the intro??

  • anybody know what album this is from???

  • @theceilibristol Nope, it's a clavinet laced with some overdrive. Funky as hell!

  • @theceilibristol the signed, sealed and delivered album. i think you can also find it on one of his greatest hits album as well

  • Sorry Beatles fans..This version is better but the Beatles version of Please Mister Postman Is waaaaaay better than the Motown original

  • @WickedTaurus from another Taurean, I love this version and the Beatles too, but I can't get this one out of my head.

  • Stevie Wonder did a benefit concert with John Lennon some time in the '70's (first time I ever heard the great "Superstition"), and then he did a song with McCartney. This is a great version of one my favorite Beatle songs.

  • I can't believe that I hadn't heard this version before. Just finished watching "Did You Hear What Happened to the Morgans?", and it's the song over the final credits. I fell in love instantly!!! Thank you Stevie for a wonderful rendition of a great Beatles song!

  • @eydiebug : Wow...that's the exact way I found out about this song!!! What are the chances.

Thank God I let the DVD play through.

I wonder if music will ever be like this!!! To think this was before the days of protools and so-called protools!

Plus Stevie Wonder's voice is just outta this world!!!

  • worlds greatest harmonica solo

  • Maybe the best Beatles cover ever. Simply awesome. Pure funk!

  • @itsallaroundus lol word

  • I think this is better than the original version.

  • @glimpus I think it is, far better!!!!

  • @glimpus

    you are a retard then

  • @Asofiro it's ok. Not everyone has the funk.

  • @glimpus Me too I love Stevie's version

  • @glimpus Stevie is great but let's not get carried away! Peace

  • @glimpus

Stevie Wonder did another version of this song?; Or, are you talking about the version by The Beatles?

  • @glimpus better than the beatles version? hahahahahahaha your funny.

  • @thebeatles2341 It is, to some people.. including me.

  • @glimpus i agree, and I never say that about a Beatles cover. He is just awesome and a true musical prodigy

  • love this version of the song its amazin but credit beatles too

  • As soon as you hear the first verse,..."try to see things my way", The soul just crushes you!

  • @CeeStyleDj

    word.

  • I love Stevie's aggressive treatment of this song. LOVE IT!

  • First heard this on Mowtown Chartbusters Volume 6 and thought it was the best. Still think so even though the Beatles original version is almost perfect. Tough decision but Stevie still gets my vote - brill tune!

  • Those back-up singers kick ass!

  • @jekylfoot

    stevie's doing the bgd vocals

  • great artist

    great song

    great vid

    5/5 thanx for the post!
