When I was 14 I first heard Nirvana. Off course it was SLTS I heard, but at that time I pit them aside just as a "Good band". It wasnt until I heard their song "Dive" that I realized that I fucking loved them. I was always facinated by Cobain, of a simple reason - he in a way looked like me. Not in apperance, but in views, and personality. He suffered from the same things I have, and has faced the same troubles as I. I have a princepal of not having idols, but damn! He comes the closest.
This movie is really great, I recommend any Nirvana fan to watch it. And I don't get why most people think that this is a some harsh or sad movie, I smiled a lot while watching it, Kurt was a funny guy for sure :) and his story is really interesting, too. I love the part where Kurt talks about how he went to a club and a some kid asked him why did he always look so mad. And Kurt replied "I'm not mad, I'm in a perfectly happy mood right now you asshole", his voice intionation was priceless :DDD
when i was watching this film i just sat stared into space and listened, you don't need to watch all of the irrelevant clips. there are so many parts to this where i think, that is soo true. Kurt Cobain never forgotten
I love Kurt Cobain and his music. I'm not in love with Kurt, I'm in love with person what he was and in his music. He looked so depressed, but deep, really deep in his soul he was probably happy. It's so fucking hard, to watch this movie and don't cry. This is the best movie in my life. After this, I always think 'this is soo true' and start crying. I know, I can't speak English very well, but I said, what I wanted.
i love Nirvana, love Cobain, love documentaries and i will watch this but this trailer is shit, the people in it have absolutely no relevance whatsoever, i mean c'mon the majority of them werent even alive in the early 90's... would of been alot better just sticking a picture of the band up and leaving it at that
Can anyone tell me what song is being played at the end? I know its Queen cause I can recognize a Queen song anywhere, but just dont know what song...Seven Seas of Rhye, maybe?
@Nanotech92 It's called "interlude 1 (Olympia)" it's by Steve Fisk & Benjamin Gibbard it can be found on Kurt Cobain About A Son:Original Score. It's only 1:05 long but it's pretty awesome. It took me forever to find it.
I feel hypocritical when i watch this. I love nirvana, Kurt is my inspiration and i just love hearing his point of view/his outlook on life, everything he says I've thought and i agree with him, he's my friend in a way i look up to him. But when he says "My personal life is none of their business" It's aiming towards us, i feel like listening to this is sacred and he would hate us for listening to his personal opinions... does anyone know if he wanted this to be shared to his fans or what?!
if i had to guess, i would say some of it. the stuff about his relationships or stuff with his parents probably not, but the stuff about being homeless and nirvana's rise would probably be something he would be okay with. then again, this movie shows just how complicated kurt was, so maybe not...
@imsohappywaitnoimnot I think he did want it to be shared, that's why he agreed to these interviews. He probably thought it would be best to just tell all once and leave it at that but got annoyed that he was constantly being asked for more interviews.
@imsohappywaitnoimnot i think he did, he wanted us to know that his life was his and only his business, and plus he says you don;t need to everything about me. These were tapes taken from an interview for, Comes As You Are, so he did want us to know how he felt about people looking into his life.
@imsohappywaitnoimnot this audio was taken from interview he did with michael azerrad a journalist for the book come as you are. Kurt participated actively so if he participated in doing the interviews for the book I don't think he would have mind that the material was listened instead of readed.
I just cry when I hear his voice on this, I'm 15 and I love nirvana and him sooo much ;) I may be obsessed with him but I don't care, I find him so interesting with his weirdness, sarcasm and funny moods, i've read his journals, and many books, watched interview after interview including countless of documentaries and I just can't get enough of him, and hearing him tell his story is incredible on this :)
@ilovekurtcobain11 There is no such thing as 'weirdness' when it comes to Kurt Cobain. He is he, he has his way, and it is not weird, it is him. He is his own, his own legend. :)
I saw this movie and it is worth watching. "I hardly ever feel depressed anymore" And he also went on saying he wouldn't give up on his family. I think this is proof of a homicide...
@BrandonCobain13 No, I think Kurt meant it at the time, but over a year passed between his interviews w/ Azerrad and his death, and there was a lot of turmoil in his personal life over that period of time. I think that, ultimately, Kurt ended his own life, but what this movie shows (and I think is intended to show) is that he wasn't a one-dimensional, ticking suicide bomb, either. He had a lot of different sides to him, as indeed most of us do :)
@BrandonCobain13 it makes you wonder, because he didn't have a father growing up. So why would he leave his daughter when he knew how bad it felt to not have a full family/:
@BrandonCobain13 he could also want people to think he's fine or he was fine and got worse. we want to think he didn't do it. what i think is that he was just sad, simply sad about everything and had enough.
there should never be a movie about him no matter how much you like him because then they got to find an actor to play him and you cant pay anybody to play kurt's greatness
for those thats going to buy, download, watch the movie, it has no original music by nirvana neither does it have any interviews, music by kurt, its a bit like the tupac ressurrection dvd, kurt narrating his life, althought it doesnt show kurt in the film its a must have for any nirvana fan. R.I.P Kurt Cobain
@Deadsilent1111 It's by Ben Gibbard and steve fisk from the fluid one of Kurt's fav bands and it's called all "Overture" all you need to do is search amazon and put in the title of the movie and soundtrack. But i dl's this music back when it was still in preview phase...loved it so i remixed the opening song for one of my video's for Francis Bean...check out my channel.
this trailer is sooo ironic, a movie about kurt cobain and in the background, "i dont think anyone deserves to know my personal life, its none of their buisness..."
so stupid. if he even said that, i would not make this video. basically just pointin the middle finger at his face, and saying WERE DOING IT ANYWAYS!!! whis is inconsiderate and pisses me off in certain little ways
@grili8 psh, i dont really know, and your kinda being a jackass, with that kind of attitude. you would obviously agree how contradictory this video is. and i serously have no other infor on this movie other than tht i know about this trailer. and watching theis video is definatly not one of my priorities like for sume people.
This is a great film , I appreciated it alot more after staying in Kurt's home town with his family . The images In this film capture the beauty and hopelessness of certain parts of Washington .
this is one of the most depressing films i have ever seen haha but i love it. its unlike any other film you'll see. he takes you into his own mind and you understand him a lot better. i love that ben gibbard helped/did the soundtrack maybe thats why it sounds so sad!?! haha see it if you havent!
GUYS BEEN LISTENING TO NIRVANA SINCE THE GRUNGE DAYS OF WHEN BLEACH WAS RELEASED & I WAS INTO TAD,MUDHONEY,SONIC YOUTH ETC BUT NEVER STOPPED & NEVER WILL STOP LISTENING TO NIRVANA. SO IF THERES ANYBODY OUT THERE WHO KNOWS WHERE I CAN GET A COPY PLEASE HELP!
@pennyroyalkurtgrl Thats stupid. oh yeah the world would be better if Kurt was alive. 9/11 would of never happened, Hati wouldn't be destroyed,All those people in Iraq wouldn't be blowing them selfs up. Come on people honestly hear yourself's!
@MrDmoney9295 That was a stupid comment. John Lennon was shot and killed by a psycho named Mark Chapman who later said that John Lennon was one of his "heroes" and Chapman just wanted to be known for doing something.
I've made a fictional film cover of the upcoming Kurt Cobain biopic. It serves as a casting suggestion. I chose Joe Anderson to play Kurt. Check out my channel to watch the video..
'....It's a story of a man who works as hard as he can, just to be a man who stands on his own... but the book always burns as the story takes its turn.. And leaves a broken man.. <3'
@ first I thought 'he's right' no one knows anything about him, the real him or his personal life, like anyone should bcuz if he didn't want anyone to know then most of the interviews or all, are boggus. I wouldn't wanna reveal myself in an interview so why would Kurt have? But if Rolling Stones already reviewed it, well I feel that this film must be something, esp what they said
@moviefreakjj It is a documentary that features audio interviews between Kurt Cobain and journalist Michael Azerrad which were used for the book "Come as You Are: The Story of Nirvana".
This just made me appreciate Nirvana and Kurt Cobain that much more. Great movie all around for the true Nirvana fan out there. It just left me with such a feeling of sadness and loss. Kurt was a true pioneer of something big. His legacy lives on today and I wish he could have been here to see just how big it would get. R.I.P. Kurt - you will always be missed.
You have to be a true fan in order to appreciate this movie, cuz my friends who doesn't know Nirvana fell asleep while I was watching it. All and all its really a great and honest interview of Kurt about his life and his feelings to everything.
@Noctisffvs13 yeah. the first time i saw this i couldnt finish it but as i grew to love Nirvana more and more i couldnt stop watching it. the book Heavier Than Heavan is good too
@WarHater It's fucking Queen you absolute moron, who are complete legends as far as rock comes to it - Kurt was inspired by them too. This trailer is actually quite evocative, but if you were mature, you'd understand.
@MikeDrumsIt you may have a point BUT kurt cobain brought grunge a style never heard of before nirvana so even if he was inspired by queen, mettallica , and some other artists he still MADE grunge a higher success in my opinion than selling billions and billions of albums
me thinks one of those crazy girls he went out with, (i think it was somin valentine) but she hired a hit man to make it look like a suicide because she hated him....... but i only heard that off a guy i know who went every where that kurt was born and died and places like that and is investigating how he died.
all of you fags who listen to justin bieber and lady gag and shit, you dont listen to what music is! this guy is the last good thing that happened to music!
i dont give a crap about what people say about him. you have to admit that this man is probably on of the most important things to happen for music ever since mozart!!!! this man started a revolution that is still alive till this day. i mean on the day that he died in seatle there were like millions of people from all over the world that came there for his funeral some from europe and asia and south america just to see this man take his final journey into imortal stardom.
This is the movie that made me start loving Kurt Cobain, then Nirvana, which lead me to start appreciating music in general more

That's what exactly happened.

What a beautiful, broken man.

R.I.P. Kurt - you will always be missed.

one of the most innovating and inspiring films i have ever seen, it was just amazing.

You have to be a true fan in order to appreciate this movie, cuz my friends who doesn't know Nirvana fell asleep while I was watching it. All and all its really a great and honest interview of Kurt about his life and his feelings to everything.

who is the name of the song?
horta54321 1 year ago
@WarHater It's fucking Queen you absolute moron, who are complete legends as far as rock comes to it - Kurt was inspired by them too. This trailer is actually quite evocative, but if you were mature, you'd understand.
MikeDrumsIt 1 year ago 56
@MikeDrumsIt you may have a point BUT kurt cobain brought grunge a style never heard of before nirvana so even if he was inspired by queen, mettallica , and some other artists he still MADE grunge a higher success in my opinion than selling billions and billions of albums

Kebabush 1 year ago
i dont give a crap about what people say about him. you have to admit that this man is probably on of the most important things to happen for music ever since mozart!!!! this man started a revolution that is still alive till this day. i mean on the day that he died in seatle there were like millions of people from all over the world that came there for his funeral some from europe and asia and south america just to see this man take his final journey into imortal stardom.

I have to see this. Well, not have to but I think it would help me understand him more. RIP.
