@bonkersblock yes you could own properties there as long as it's less than 7 hectares...i'm not a filipino citizen...but i own 2 lots at more than half hectare each...on the other side of taal lake in batangas foreign nationals mostly japanese own properties much bigger than what i have...

What is the minimum safe clearance away from the active Taal Volcano??? I thnk at least 10 Kms., I will think twice before I invest properties around the proximity of an active volcano...local authorities pay less attention about this risk, as usual business and jobs or means of survival is the first priority...we've learned our lessons from Mt. Pinatubo...
