This is just a example of convergent evolution. Not only in social behaviour.
Better to match anatomy:
Evolution in similar conditions led to remarkable similarity between insect and vertebrate limbs; because of this insectology borowed the anatomy terms for analogue limb parts from vertebrate anatomy.
Remark: termites aren't hymenoptera but orthoptera (their closest cousins are cockroaches, not ants).
This is an amazing video. I loved how you did this!! I am in awe. Apart from your amazing film making skills you have the perfect voice for TV!! This was so good!!
I dunno... I thought it was very tongue in cheek! Love the way you use Byrne/Eno sounds with Philip Glass and co. type video. Nice touch with the scenes from the emerald mines. Will look forward to more! May the fittest survive.
Interesting ideas. I've thought we share many behaviors with other species, but that isn't because we are directly descended from those species. It is because certain actions/behaviors have an intrinsic benefit for survival. i.e. any species that successfully reaches a high level of population will eventually develop similar management systems.

Thanks for the information. I wish wiki had existed when I made this.

It's not from wiki, but from my head. I happen to have degree in biology.

Thanks tetragnath. I updated the video info to include the music sources: it also includes Popol Vuh and Tangerine Dream.

Both of your comments are correct. If I had to do this over again it would have been much more tongue in cheek.
