i dunno if im crazy but does travis´s fightin style changes with the swords he gets? i aint talkin bout the two-handed style ´course its obvious his style changes there, i mean with one-handed swords, his combos, runnin and standing animations changes, so whaddya guys say? am i right or wrong?
@kunashgi2 Yeah. When he weilds blood berry, it's the simple, yet effective powerful sword style. With the Camilia Mk-III, it's more stylish and speedy, a bit more of a samurai feel to it. With the Peony, his strikes are a little show and require more finesse, but they got BEAST like stopping power and can knock people down easy.
Also, I can't help but wish Alice gets a comeback in NMH 3. Of course, that's an incredibly stupid idea since it cheapens the whole "defeated in honorable combat" thing but...I mean...this is literally the 1st time I've felt attached to an NMH character other than Travis.
On the other hand, just try to imagine "New Alice"...uh, no.
Dayum...Suda loves him some badass #2 fights, doesn't he? First Bad Girl, and now Travis' most epic fight since Ryuji...and Margaret...and Cap Vlad...not even sure if that's the right order...

Alice, Ryuji, Vladimir, Margaret, Shinobu, and Nathan, as well as by some extent Holly Summers, Kimmy, Jeane and Henry. Those are the people Travis actually comes to respect as people in the two games. So unlike Sylvia, who views almost everyone as nothing but tools for killing. But I guess she'd finally learned her lesson in the ending of the game, when the UAA was destroyed.
Still, all those were some really epic boss fights.
There is only one response to both the fight scene and the...er...aftermath. In the words of Charlie MacDonald..."HOLY SHIT!"
Also, I'm not sure whether I'm grateful or disappointed that there's no interaction to the...interlude sequence...a la God of War. Still, the broken sign is a nice touch.
She wasn't that hard, but if you got caught by that throwing move, you'd pretty much had it. Apart from that, my strategy was to dodge her attacks, then counter after her final attack when she flashed yellow. I kept doing this until the ecstasy gauge was up. At least she didn't have a cheap one hit kill move though. That shit infuriated me about the first game because it was so unfair (IM)O). And I HATED Badgirl with a passion.
@Numba14Sushii What. Really? She's so easy compared to others once you're past that attack it's just dodge back, slash, back again, repeat over and over, then Darkside mode her = dead. I'm actually glad she's not the rank 1 boss fight for this but if she was then they'd seriously have to make her more aggresive.
This is how boss battles in games should be this battle didnt feel like u were just fighting to progress it was actually fun because instead of the boss being overwhelming or weak it feels like you and the boss r equally strong
In my opinion this should have been the rank 1 battle. It just seems suitable due to what she says about Travis being the only one who made it out alive and her beliefs about the pointlessness of the battles. Just always seemed way more suitable to the games subject matter and this battle makes the final one such a disappointment due to how great it was.
@jesse41993 It would be great, but the ultimate theme is revenge, and Jasper fits that theme better than a likable character like Alice. The monoplizations, the murder, all things that Jasper could do. Alice would probably lose all likability.

1: Margaret: Past Addiction (criticizing our return to NMH franchise)
2: Vladimir: Future Addiction ( a person completely disconnected from reality)
3: Alice Twilight: Present Addiction (A person who lost her entire family to videogame addiction, ex: WOW ruining so many marriages)
Alice's stage was kinda creepy, or at least I thought so. Loved the character though, I can easily see that this is the character Suda put the most effort into making. Here are my top five bosses in NMH2: (From best to worst)

However, there have been photos of Alice with Margaret, and gives off the feeling that the two could have been daughter and mother, or Margaret being Alice's apprentice.

What I love about some of the assassins like Alice is that they have full character personalities, like expressing philosophical thought, regret, asking themselves and Travis the purpose of their lives. It was as if you were fighting bosses that could easily have come from Metal Gear.
This game surprisingly reminds me of Metal Gear. Alice reminds me of Laughing Octopus from Metal Gear Solid 4, and their voiced by the same actor to boot! A whole lot of Metal Gear voice actors are in No More Heroes.
I don't think that's breaking the 4th wall exactly. That would be more like the "No More Hero" comment he made, but even that could simply be the title he was given. Travis just made an epic speech - its close, but its not deliberate 4th wall rape like when he fought Henry.
@Momentum139 : Actually it was a 4th wall owned, maybe if you just analyzed the scene instead of just focusing on the violence you'd see the message hes trying to send to the game developers who create things like "MADWORLD", "GEARS OF WAR", "HALO", and "GOD OF WAR".
@RavingReflux God Number 1 was just stupid... both character and difficulty wise. I thought he was going to be a badass... but he turned out to be a nerd on steroids... not to mention his 2nd and 3rd from was insanley difficult and his 1st form confused me... I think they made good bosses in this one but messed up on rank 1.

The phone call in the first game is found in the game script (found on GameFAQs) and the line in NMH 2 suggesting it happened was when Travis said he already got a "taste of those goods"

What I love about some of the assassins like Alice is that they have full character personalities, like expressing philosophical thought, regret, asking themselves and Travis the purpose of their lives. It was as if you were fighting bosses that could easily have come from Metal Gear.
Reminds of Sniper Wolf, really.

This game surprisingly reminds me of Metal Gear. Alice reminds me of Laughing Octopus from Metal Gear Solid 4, and their voiced by the same actor to boot! A whole lot of Metal Gear voice actors are in No More Heroes.

I don't think that's breaking the 4th wall exactly. That would be more like the "No More Hero" comment he made, but even that could simply be the title he was given. Travis just made an epic speech - its close, but its not deliberate 4th wall rape like when he fought Henry.

@Momentum139 : Actually it was a 4th wall owned, maybe if you just analyzed the scene instead of just focusing on the violence you'd see the message hes trying to send to the game developers who create things like "MADWORLD", "GEARS OF WAR", "HALO", and "GOD OF WAR".

@RavingReflux God Number 1 was just stupid... both character and difficulty wise. I thought he was going to be a badass... but he turned out to be a nerd on steroids... not to mention his 2nd and 3rd from was insanley difficult and his 1st form confused me... I think they made good bosses in this one but messed up on rank 1.

The phone call in the first game is found in the game script (found on GameFAQs) and the line in NMH 2 suggesting it happened was when Travis said he already got a "taste of those goods"
also he tells Henry she's a bad wife but "a good woman"
