That is to sweet!!! You are a tec school grad or someone with to much time on ther hands. Awsome job!!! Now you just have to build one with a 5 speed gear box or a automatic!
what is the order? is it 1243 or 1324 like on an actual engine too? it look sreally cool! i cant wait until i can make a cool one. so far all i have is an air powered one that i ran out of spare connecting rods for. lol
my vid will be in in the next month or so as i want to convert mine either to dohc or two cylinder. i love your vid's never get bored of watching them.
I love it! I had a car with this type of engine. This is a perfect example of a OHC (One Head Cam) engine. Any plans to make a DOHC engine (Dual Over Head Cam)?
I do have plans to make a dohc, i want to make it as a car engine with spark plugs and im trying a way to make an ignition system to light up lego bricks in timing order, some one already made one, if you seen the huge lego v-8 engine, has a working distributor
i take a q-tip and spray it with wd-40 and rub all parts that will have friction, helps move it freely, prevents scratches, and using the q-tip doesnt make my legos slippery when im done and take it apart
Also the biggest part in the piston moving is that instead of the cylinder made of bricks i use the lego one piece walls, bricks have too many edges for the piston to catch on
thanks have u heard of the vnt turbos used on turbo diesel engines i want to make one of them but it will need some serious planning as they are very complex like the sound of the 1 cylinder engine
I've seen some lego engines here in Youtube, but yours is the best that I've ever seen since then. Even the sound of the "engine" is good. Excellent work, man.
to get it right the cam timing of course just set the exhaust lobe on the cylinder number 1 at 12 o clock and the inlet at quertor to eg 45 mins and it should be near perfect as it works on my engine.
amazing the best engine ever. By usingyour other video i will try to make a single cylinder version of it with a clutch as i know how to make a clutch and will tell you if you want.
Would you perhaps have the build materials list for it? And possibly instructions? This engine is quite interesting.

why are there 2 electric motors powering it?
turbocharged9906 2 years ago 4
the motor pushing on 8 valve springs arent enough to get a good rpm
legomaniacman 2 years ago
i like version 1 most... because it sounds like my truck.. the old diesel sound... this though sound like moder CRDi engines... more quiet
09204418448 2 years ago 5
me too, this one is more modern with the overhead cam and camless injectors. Which i forgot to add a 3rd pushrod for the injectors for the version 1

i knew it... i just really love diesel engines^^

awesome, glad to be an inspiration

Hi guys! Its a very good engine, Its one of ma favourites, I would like to ask if I can get those special parts in the shop?(piston, branner)
Bencethebest 2 years ago 2
the whole engine is made of ordinary technic and lego bricks
legomaniacman 2 years ago
Nice!...I like this, I made something simular to this, but this is better:)))

your timinig is off u have to get your timing right otherwise it wont work right
lol i like the read though

omfg how did you get it to rune so well. If i make a cylinder the piston will either have a lot of friction or get stuck on somthing.

i just made a tiny lego engine with a footprint of a 6*6 plate and a 2*2 block cylender and i used your one piece wall method works great!
RevanantGod 2 years ago 2
awesome
legomaniacman 2 years ago
you should make a sump and put the motor inside it!
This way you could hide the little motor ;)
MO3MINI 2 years ago 3
nice, with just 'a bit' of modification, you'll have your fully working engine :)
rapidrory 2 years ago 2
it does have a good compression, my nxt engine if i put a spark plug and gas it might work but im ruining my legos for that lol

have u got anymore engine plans or creations i am making a turbo with a working wastegate and it is working
turbocharged9906 2 years ago 2
nahh none right now, probbly make a 1 cylinder where one side is open and show the valves and sparkplug firing
awesome

do know if you cam timming is right?

for the first couple of seconds it is then the valves start knocking against the piston like in 0:59

why don't you just make an real pneumatic engine??? but by th eway this looks nice too
