K5LAR's GEVOs use K5HL's. That horn is a regular K5LAR its just fouled some, making it sound like a GEVO horn. You see it all the time on tophats and sometime on catfish.
oh ok thanks for the info on that. i knew GEVOs were the main locomotive that the K5HL is known for being on, but i also thought for a little while that that was a K5HL maybe replacing something else on the catfish.
No problem. It is wierd hearing a horn that sounds like a Gevo horn on a catfish, usually everytime a K5 on a catfish gets messed up they will slap a P5 on it, I have even heard P3s and RS3Ls on them.
10-4..By the way, you sure thats 212? It looks more like 204 because 212 always carrys auto racks up front. And 204 back in the O7 ran with Onion 70M's almost every day if he didnt have GP60's
I recall everybody saying that it was 212 (I didn't have a scanner back then). There was someone in the area on the same day, and he had a picture of 204. The link won't work on this comment, so I'll message it to you.
The S-Line Starts off the New Line at Morristown,TN and follows the French Broad River to Asheville,NC before going to Salisbury.

2nd one. that horn is usually used on GEVOs. 95% of the time if you hear that horn its usually a GEVO coming. but i guess this was the other 5%. lol.
