Jim, your story of the crystal set reminds me of my first attempt at building a Heathkit shortwave radio in the mid '70s. You wouldn't have been very proud of my results, but I sure could have used your expertise.
Jim I love the videos still and really do hope to hear more from you and geriatric1927 in the near future! one thing I would like to know about is your view on big cities versus small towns etc.. which you find best. I am 18 and have grown up in a small town, it is starting to get bigger every year and more expensive. I just want to know if you enjoy the big city more than small towns and if you changed your oppinion the older you got. Thanks again, Ryan.
Your stories are awesome and it makes it even more interested as I'm really interested in radios too. I got my own ham radio which i got and half built a while ago. I'm amazed by so much stuff and hard work you had to do to get a radio back then. These days you can just get a nice SW radio for global radio stations online or at a nearby store. Can't wait for your next video.
What a wonderful story! How technology has moved on, especially these days!

Thank you so much for your stories, Jim. I'm rather spellbound by them and am checking in often for your next bit of history to share.
You have a natural, pleasant manner of conversation and I've enjoyed your videos most of all I've seen on youtube.
