I'm going to ask you to consider the entire history of the Israel/Palestine conflict (back to 1947), and make a serious effort to understand what it will take to bring about permanent peace. Permanent peace will never be possible without complete honesty.

lol anywhere you go in the world you will find misguided youth. every israel i know was proud and eager to serve in the army. what's most funny about these stupid kids is that israel DOES NOT force anyone to go to the army. you can chose not to serve in the army. instead, you can do "national service" which is basically community service. alot of people chose this and they help in hospitals and senior citizens homes. a friend of mine cares for holocaust survivors. this is pure bull shit!

In any event, they're refusing to perform whatever the requirement is because they're protesting Israel's brutal oppression of the people of Palestine and they refuse to be associated with it.

Thanks for the clarification. It's important to distinguish between the corrupt government in Israel and its citizens, the vast majority of whom are good and decent people who support peaceful co-existence with Palestine. Those of us here in the U.S. who care enough to pay attention know a thing or two about corrupt government ourselves. I just wish more people (both here and in Israel) would wake up and recognize the responsibility to speak out against the crimes being committed in their name.
