what is the difference between this and the LX? also is this or the lx cutter able to cut out milti colored vinyls. i think its called contour cutting?
I have this machine, and it is great. The only problem I have had is a couple arms break and the pen latch break. Luckily, it was within the year warranty. I use corel draw x4 and it works great. It's on ebay for $35.
@jameswupp The Expert comes with Great Cut software that will allow you to import your designs from Illustrator. You can also cut directly from Illustrator if you would like. You only need to be connected to the internet if you would like to use the designs and features of Cadworxlive but it's not required to use the machine.

@mitziclarice Your max dimension in one direction is going to be about 22" but you can make it around 10 feet in the other direction. If you need something larger, you should consider the 30" or larger models.
If you do buy this startup kit, be sure to review the invoice/credit card statement to make sure they don't charge you the regular itemized prices for the things included in the kit. Other than that minor glitch, I'm happy with the package.
The included Greatcut software put a menu item directly into Illustrator CS2 called "export to greatcut" which pushes any selected objects directly over. I'm sure greatcut does some other stuff, but this is really all I needed.
