Glee's purpose is to entertain people and get views for another season, but if it loses viewers because of a man playing a transsexual then there's no more next season.

I love this version. And I love the original, I don't see why people think that you can only like one or the other. I love the power in Amber Riley's voice in this one, but Tim Curry's acting is excellent in the original.

@TheDobbyDies I didn't mind it. In the entire context of TRHPS it doesn't make a lot of sense, but on Glee itself it made sense in its own way. Like the character is confident and in charge of her own sexuality, which Frank N Furter up and down. Glee's version is meant to mirror what is happening in the episode: the guys who play Brad and Rocky are concerned about their bodies and one of the more prudish teachers finally embraces her sexuality while singing "Toucha Touch Me" Know what I mean?

I was so disappointed with this episode. Mostly just with the choice for Mercedes to play Frank N' Furter. The point is for the character to be a MAN dressed like a transvestite.

I think it's actually sin-sational, and the only reason for the change is probably Fox censors, the same reason they changed lyrics for all the other Rocky Horror songs and half the top 40 songs glee does. I'd say Glee is the most supportive of LGBT issues of all the shows on mainstream tv. Just sayin'.

I love this version. And I love the original, I don't see why people think that you can only like one or the other. I love the power in Amber Riley's voice in this one, but Tim Curry's acting is excellent in the original.

@TheDobbyDies I didn't mind it. In the entire context of TRHPS it doesn't make a lot of sense, but on Glee itself it made sense in its own way. Like the character is confident and in charge of her own sexuality, which Frank N Furter up and down. Glee's version is meant to mirror what is happening in the episode: the guys who play Brad and Rocky are concerned about their bodies and one of the more prudish teachers finally embraces her sexuality while singing "Toucha Touch Me" Know what I mean?

I was so disappointed with this episode. Mostly just with the choice for Mercedes to play Frank N' Furter. The point is for the character to be a MAN dressed like a transvestite.
And yes, I get that the whole transsexual thing maybe wouldn't be allowed on T.V. or would be too controversial or whatever. I'm just saying that I was really looking forward to the episode and I was very disappointed with some of the decisions they made.
