I love this idea! Thanksgiving tends to be a family holiday but too many trans people (like myself) lose our families when we transition. Often, we wind up feeling like the trans community itself becomes our new family.
Cheers. And make sure you let us know how Transgiving goes this upcoming year, okay?
Hi! Unfortunately Transgiving never materialized this year but next year we DO want to revive the idea and pick up where we left off. I hope you had a good one this year - surrounded by friends or family. Hugs - Sarah
Yeah, friends. Unfortunately, I'm one of those trans people who kinda had to lose her family when she transitioned. I miss them, but I can't imagine going back for anyone now. I just hope they can accept me in time and until then, I'm having to make new family.
How brilliant! The Families of supportive souls is often more important than the random biological family and there is no better way to celebrate that than sharing time and meals together. what a wonderful family you have formed.
It so sweet to keep finding your comments scattered amongst my videos....they are always lovely to read. So thank you for that. And yes, it is an amazing family that gathered around us....I cherish them all.
Hello :) I just hope you can help me; do you know where Paula went? I miss her and worry about her so much! Please if you can help me; i'd appreciate it :)
Sorry I am getting to your comment so late...I have been away from YT for a long time. Unfortunately I don't know what happened to Paula....the last I knew she took her channel down and left YT. Sorry I can't help.
And a wonderful transgiving it was; i chelrish moments of laughter and joy, of play and truth, of looking each other in the eye and finding trust more than anything else...it was so good to be in the laughter at your transgiving table; i'll post soon, promise; little jet lagged, Love and hugs for the three of you (yes, Sappho, that means you too, so GET over here...)Xo, Rickie
Hey Sarah! I hope you all had a wonderful Transgiving. I so wish i could have been there to share it with you. Unfortunately, i was admitted into surgical I.C.U. because i almost bled to death from a botched up biopsy on my liver. I required a blood transfusion amongst other things. I ended up spending 2 days in I.C.U. being monitored round the clock and a week total in the hospital. I will do a video when i feel up to it. I have sever anemia at the moment & can't do much.
What a wonderful way to celebrate the holiday! While so many "celebrate" by guilting feuding family members under one roof for a single, drama-filled day, it 's refreshing to see people who actually look forward to gathering around a table and celebrating each other's company. Warmest wishes to you and your extended family.
Transgiving sounds like a an amazing idea!! I hope it's gonna be fun for y'all and I so wish I could make it...but alas I get to work the day after ^^ Hurray for 4am shifts! It's super fun though, don't get me wrong. Lots of love to ya Sarah and sorry for being a stranger lately. **huuuugs** Mercuy
TransGiving, OMG! I LOVE IT LOL Thats the best he he he ok WHO thought of that? Credit must be given here for sure :-) Sounds like a perfectly lovely crowd for sure. A house full is always so wonderful on any holiday. You have so much to be thankful for especially for all the wonderful friends and relatives who will be gathered there. God Bless you all! Gail
I'm filled with such joy just to hear that you all are doing this. I love the way you bring people together in harmonious love, Sarah! I pray you have a wonderful time together!
Hi Sarah, it's Liam... So nice to see you again on here. What a wonderful idea! I miss some folks from here but I just had to leave and begin to LIVE! I wish that I could be there and see everyone. Have a safe and wonderful holiday! Blessings to everyone. Peace
Sarah this is truly one of the most beautiful idea's I have see come to be. I know Thanksgiving and Xmas are hard for many people, including myself, as I will be alone like most of the years before... I make it, but not easily. Much love to all
transgiving makes me sad because i wasnt invited. *Dies a little inside.* Just kidding. I'm too young. But call me so I can say hi. Erin and Ashley have my number. If u cant, tell them I said hi.
looks like we are in for some greate vlogs to come in the next few days, wish i could be there though if this dose become a regular thing count me in for next year for sure!!
Wow. That sounds like such a wonderful way to spend Thanksgiving. I hope the house smells fabulous from all the food. That's the best part of the holiday for me. We don't normally have a lot of visitors, so I envy your gathering. (Hmmm...starts plotting next year's holiday...)
I wish I could have been a part of it!!
