At 6:13 a chart comparing temperature and solar activity is presented. Funny how the x-axis (years) stops at 1985... Why don't you show the rest 25 years (from 1985 to 2010)?? Are you trying to hide something??
This is not science of any description... this is manipulating data...
Clouds cannot trap or stop radiation all that well. Heat yes, they would reflet the heat if there was to many of them. But doesn't anyone know how gases effect our climate? Venus is a perfect example. Too much carbon dioxide in the air, created the run away green house effect. Making the planet boil away any liquid it would have.
The most disturbing thing about climate alarmism advocates is not simply their abuse of scientific institutions, but in the underlying political agenda that is, quite simply, fascist. They want governments to take control of industries, especially in the energy sector, and dictate matters of lifestyle to individual citizens. And when they are challenged, they begin suggesting the use of force.
The human race is adicted to indoctrination. Why would a giant fire ball in the sky effect climate. Sure it makes summer and winter, but nothing else. Humans are screwed.
Would be curious as to how much it pays to type short put-downs like "denialist rubbish" on these threads. Lord knows there is plenty of cash to go around, isn't there, Mr. Gore?
The IPCC research team has used all the available peer reviewed data, including those on clouds, vapour and dust particles. No, religion brought you that. Western alchemy would be the western equivalent which brought us chemistry when it focused on reductionism because it was easier to measure. Chinese sciences used both inductive and deductive logic and tested hypotheses and theories. It is the height of eurocentrism to confuse your own cultural perspective with science and if you actually understood science you would know how effected it is by culture.

Synthethetical isn't Eastern. Other than saying "Your argument has no merit" and "You have no idea what science is" you have no argument. You seem to believe that anything outside of your culture is superstition, again arrogance and ignorance.
@monsieurmitosis i dont think you are, from what i know, clouds dont allow radiation to reflect back from the earth so the more they are, the more green house effect there is
warmth and solar acitivty are connected because the more radiation the sun sends, the more we will get
@monsieurmitosis We will have the "casting out nines" verification in the next decade. Solar intensity and the # of sun spots will decrease significantly in the next 22 years, so if this theory is right, the temperatures should decrease by some degree. However, this does not prove that we are too small to influence climate. Just look at CFC's! We destroyed a good portion of the ozone layer because women like "good looking" hairs.
@jdepps13 This what? Cosmic rays->clounds-> global warming?
CERN CLOUD project (candidate for a nobel prize) is pointing out the contrary: that infact there is a corelation between clouds and cosmic rays. But to what extent that is correlated to the recent warming? And also correlation does not imply causation, that's a rule of thumb I like to always keep in mind.
Of course cosmic rays can seed clouds and clouds can affect climate. But how could this be the reason for the current accelerated climate change? Did this change happen at coincidentally the same time that humans have drastically changed the atmosphere?
"For some reason, no scientific journal wanted to publish this."
Blaming closed-mindedness in mainstream science is a cheap way of avoiding the straightforward reason. (And gaining support via YouTube.)
After investigating how the terrestrial temperature dataset for the world has been "homogenized" for the Urban Heat Island (UHI) effect, I no longer give much credibility to the numbers put out by the CRU of UEA. They have "lost" all their original data and also refuse to demonstrate how they have come to their interpretations of the lost raw data. A scientist without his data isn't a scientist. So I don't believe their "hockey stick" temperatures.
@min6:13 the graph only goes to 1985 ... where are the missing 25 years?
i've seen charts to date that veer dramatically after that time and this theory of solar activity and global temps do not correlate and the massive deviation cannot be explained...

Especially considering the sun is the only thing that is warm(hot) and without it u wouldnt be finding much warmth ANYWHERE! Talk about the wool being pulled over our eyes. It couldnt be more obvious that the sun has a warming effect on the world, the clouds having the regulating effect(like a blanket -off when its hot, on when its cold)
When a theory "works" on both 100 million year historical scale AND recent decadal scale (with contemporaneous, measured and NOT inferred data) at the same time - this is POWERFUL evidence that the theory is robust and correct. The power of H2O and cloud cover (via cosmic-ray flux as "catalyst") providing an "iris" effect directly changing the surface warmth, hugely more important than trace-level CO2 which supposedly results in a slight mid-level troposphere warming (NOT surface warming).
Especially when they go from showing the epochal correlations over 100s of millions of years, to the correlation between cosmic ray flux and ocean temperature over the last 40-50 years (next to last section I believe). AS OPPOSED TO TREE RING DATA which had to be conveniently discarded when over this same recent period since 1961, the ring data DIVERGES from the temperature record --- during this same time frame the cosmic ray flux and the ocean temperature tracks VERY nicely.
Just say all six parts. I have only a BS degree in Physics and not an advanced degree. Also have been an astronomy / cosmology enthusiast my entire life (built my first telescope from a kit in the third grade). Having worked in product / applications development, process / manufacturing engineering and formal R&D most of my career, the arguments, investigations, concepts and finally elucidation of the mechanisms of this theory are profoundly powerful and pursuasive.

If you're the flight crew, magine the struggle it would be to resist the temptation to throw them overboard in mid-atlantic. And think of the boost to the nations morale.
we're lucky to live on this planet... Everything that occurs climate wise fluctuates, and the results of any change in climate usually act in such a ways as to return the climate to its former status.
Michael Crichton is one of many to point this out.
As a geologist (BS and MS) I can tell you that dust found in the Antarctic ice cores were much higher during glacial epochs rather than the warmer interglacials (like now) because the cold spawned much more desert area than a warm climate would. This means that with additional CO2 and natural warming, more rain would fall and plants would grow much better. Already the earth has seen a 25% increase in vegetation in the past 30 years and a 12% increase in foodstuff production worldwide.
You have any scientific studies to support your claims? Any at all? If so then pelase share. The reflective and insulating effects of cloud cover are observed by everyone the world over. Clear summer nights are cooler than overcast nights. Clouds have a big hand in regulating our globa temperature.
You have any scientific studies to support your claims?
-lol, u serious??
The reflective and insulating effects of cloud cover are observed by everyone the world over. Clear summer nights are cooler than overcast nights. Clouds have a big hand in regulating our globa temperature.
Watch "Is global warming man made or sun made?" Here these phenomenons are explained. The clouds insulate the Earth, but their ability to reflect sunlight are much more important.
This gentleman should read up on Plasma Cosmology and EU theory. It would help explain why and how the sun alters its power output. It seems this global warming thing is cyclic depending on solar output following over 400 years of observation. There are patterns that have long long frequencies.22 year sunspot cycle, a longer 'mini-ice-age cycle and these are all running overtop one another. The effects of these cycles directly affect our input over any atmospheric condition.

Svensmark is having difficulty getting published in peer reviewed journals. This video ignores the fact that CO2 and other gases do have quantifiable radiative forcings. Svante Arrhenius proved it in 1896.
CO2 thoroughly mixes in the troposphere. It never precipitates out. It steadily increases and remains in the atmosphere for hundreds of years. Svensmark's theory does not replace anthropogenic global warming.
Wrong. EXPERTS in geology, oceanography, and climatology have known for a while now that CO2 does not drive climate chage. Do a search here on youtube forThe Science Behind The Theory That CO2 Does Not Drive Climate Change. You will find 2 clips that explain this fact to you pretty well. You can pretend this isn't true but it certainly is.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
You never heard Milankovitch. He discovered eccentricities in earth's orbit and spin. These are now thought to be the initiators of ice ages and inter-glacials. Cold water stores a lot of CO2. When it warms up, it releases the gas to the atmosphere. Now, you have the radiative forcing of CO2 adding to the orbit/spin eccentricity.
This is why until the industrial revolution, CO2 was usually behind temperature increases. This time, its different.
Variations in the Eearth's tilt as well as orbit would most definately have an impact on our climate. Our seasons do not coem from our position in our orbit. what gives us our 4 seasons is the tilt of our planet. Our planet has a slight "wobble" thanks to the moon's stabalizing effect. w/o the moon our climate would shift like crazy making human survival impossible.
Yeah, shine on you old crazy moon!. That really accounts for earth orbit oscillating between an elipse and near circular orbit.
You may also want to zombie walk over to JPL's website and look at what AIRS found. It sounds like scientists tapped into data that AIRS was going to collect anyway.
It rambles on how CO2 has an amplifying effect on water vapor.
JPL is NASA. You remember NASA, it put men on the moon.
If you had a brain, the donor/recipient agreement has been exercised.
Get off your lazy butt and look for them yourself. they are out there. Not to mention the fact that the researcher this documentary is about has a paper which is peer reviewed. I find it funny that people like you will never try to attack the science but demand "peer reviewed" sources knowing full well they can find those by themselves.
@searcher619 no, YOU have the burden of proof since you are the one making the claim.I find it funny that people like you make a ton of unsubstantiated assertions and back it up with "well it says it in this Youtube video, so it's true!!!! Nanner nanner". It's not my problem that you can't provide any credible evidence for your position. Dumbass.
Please explain to us why the past 8 YEARS global temps have been dropping not climbing even though CO2 levels have been steadily on the rise. Yes the globe stopped warming approx 9 years ago. This fact demonstrates CO2 is not the driver of climate change you seem so hell bent on believing. Even the EPA's study which politicians and bureaucrats tried to supress found this to be the case. Face is CO2 is not the powerful greenhouse gas alarmists want us to believe it is.
More than that: CO2 levels during the last major ice age were as much as ten times HIGHER than they are today. Why? Simple: Ice Age means less vegetation cover, which means more carbon in the atmosphere. Plants are made of atmospheric carbon.

No. Globla warming was a fact until 1998 just as global cooling is now a fact. Only the ignorant deny that our climate warms and cools. The debate is over what is driving it.

we're lucky to live on this planet... Everything that occurs climate wise fluctuates, and the results of any change in climate usually act in such a ways as to return the climate to its former status.
Michael Crichton is one of many to point this out.
Pankakeface2 2 years ago 3
As a geologist (BS and MS) I can tell you that dust found in the Antarctic ice cores were much higher during glacial epochs rather than the warmer interglacials (like now) because the cold spawned much more desert area than a warm climate would. This means that with additional CO2 and natural warming, more rain would fall and plants would grow much better. Already the earth has seen a 25% increase in vegetation in the past 30 years and a 12% increase in foodstuff production worldwide.

You mean the sun affects climate? NO WAY!
It's amazing that such an obvious idea is ridiculed by the Warmist cult.

maybe it doesn't drieve the climate, but it's still a major contributor, no question about it
@searcher619
one explenation could be that gases also reflect solare radiation
gonna watch the rest now, this certanly got my attention
Cunelito 2 years ago
CO2 does not reflect light. It is a colorless gas. Cloud cover is what reflects solar radiation.
searcher619 2 years ago
u should take more thime with input instead of output, ur wrong about a lot of things
anyways
I never mentioned CO2
Cunelito 2 years ago
You have any scientific studies to support your claims? Any at all? If so then pelase share. The reflective and insulating effects of cloud cover are observed by everyone the world over. Clear summer nights are cooler than overcast nights. Clouds have a big hand in regulating our globa temperature.

-ofcourse

Watch "Is global warming man made or sun made?" Here these phenomenons are explained. The clouds insulate the Earth, but their ability to reflect sunlight are much more important.

it s excellent, how is Henrik Svensmarks condition ? do you know?
marktimmer2212 2 years ago 2
This gentleman should read up on Plasma Cosmology and EU theory. It would help explain why and how the sun alters its power output. It seems this global warming thing is cyclic depending on solar output following over 400 years of observation. There are patterns that have long long frequencies.22 year sunspot cycle, a longer 'mini-ice-age cycle and these are all running overtop one another. The effects of these cycles directly affect our input over any atmospheric condition.

2007, Arctic sea ice miminum sets record low. 2008, sets near record low.
Carlin is not a climate or any other sort of scientist. He merely copied and pasted a bunch of junk from well known denialist websites. He never conducted, published peer reviewed climate science.
CO2 is the powerful greenhouse gas it is made out to be. Check in with Svante Arrhenius, NASA/GISS for verification.
July 2009, NOAA reports as the warmest ocean global temperatures on record.

TRUMPHENT 2 years ago

Our planet has a slight "wobble" thanks to the moon's stabalizing effect. w/o the moon our climate would shift like crazy making human survival impossible.
searcher619 2 years ago 2
Yeah, shine on you old crazy moon!. That really accounts for earth orbit oscillating between an elipse and near circular orbit.
You may also want to zombie walk over to JPL's website and look at what AIRS found. It sounds like scientists tapped into data that AIRS was going to collect anyway.
It rambles on how CO2 has an amplifying effect on water vapor.
JPL is NASA. You remember NASA, it put men on the moon.

@searcher619 peer reviewed sources please. Youtube is not a viable place to get an education in science.

@Stringprodigy :

Dumbass.

@searcher619 That's why 99% of climatologists believe that man is mostly behind climate change?
TheGamanic 7 months ago
Please explain to us why the past 8 YEARS global temps have been dropping not climbing even though CO2 levels have been steadily on the rise. Yes the globe stopped warming approx 9 years ago. This fact demonstrates CO2 is not the driver of climate change you seem so hell bent on believing. Even the EPA's study which politicians and bureaucrats tried to supress found this to be the case. Face is CO2 is not the powerful greenhouse gas alarmists want us to believe it is.
searcher619 2 years ago 12
More than that: CO2 levels during the last major ice age were as much as ten times HIGHER than they are today. Why? Simple: Ice Age means less vegetation cover, which means more carbon in the atmosphere. Plants are made of atmospheric carbon.

Now what can we do to convince the rest of the world that we are not the problem?

Global warming is a lie they use as an excuse to constantly spray chemtrails on us and explain the worsening weather. The cause of the weather is our 10th planet nibiru and the chemtrails are to hide it. watch your skies.
This is the sign in the heavens that preceeds the war of Armageddon which will see Russia and the SCO destroy America on 10-10-09.
