FYI, at the "free interview" there is no acting or modeling in front of anyone. You stand in line to be interviewed by selected representatives to see if you have enough potential to attend the actual proscout event.

(continued...) ProScout gives you a a discounted rate at the Marriott Hotel in Philidelphia for only $125 a night. With ProScout you are allowed to sit down and have one-on-one with agents and at IMTA you do not have that option because there are too many models and actors at the convention.

Anyone who has the option to go to ProScout truly should do it! I was accepted to both ProScout and IMTA. I was just at IMTA and it was great, but too many people were there (models/actors) Also, at the end the price was over $6000 for one week in new york. ProScout in Philidelphia 2010 is only $795 for a weekend. ARE THERE ANY HIDDEN FEES? NO! The only extra fees you have are the costs of where you stay. They do not make you stay in a particular hotel, which IMTA does.

i went to a proscout audition and doug was there but it was really stupid cuz we didnt even act. so i was standing in line waiting my turn, i didnt even act and they said no! nobody there acted!! it was soo stupid!! and doug said that i cant get in cuz of my braces. i was WTF??

@shamarmommy24, Alexis13936 was talking about the "free interview" at certain cities. This is the first step. You have to be interviewed first before you are "invited" to the proscout event, of which you will have to pay to get in. The event is private and not open to the public. You have to pass the interview first to be able to attend proscout. There was a girl at the same interview event as i, who also had braces and passed the interview. It wasn't just because braces for alexis's decline.

misskrissy12-I did do pro scout i got called back for it but i didnt go to the 2nd audition for actng and modeling cause it was just lil expensive for me and my sister to do it♥ but i am still gunna try to accomplished my dream but who knows(==

@sonic31300 You should. BUT- Only if you are prepared. They are a legitimate company- BUT- If you go unprepared, you might as well burn 1000 dollars(Cost after Gasoline, Lodging, the Event, Food, etc.). Prepare a monologue. Now, they have a VIP site, where the scouts help you prepare(Which is GREAT!). MANY actors/models. The top agents. You have to STAND OUT to get a contract signed. All the "Scam" complaints are simply actors(And parents) who did not get call backs from agents.

Yes Don't Be Nervous. Be VERY Bubbly & Fun & Energetic If Your Looking For Callbacks. Try & Find A Funny Monologue Cuz They Get Annoyed With Dramas Cuz Its People Like Fake Crying, & Everyone Has The Same One Over & Over. Do Something That Would Make Them Remember You & Be Polite. If You See Agents Around The Hotel You'll Be Staying At Say Hello & Be Polite They Love That. BEST OF LUCK EVERYONE :)

I was told by the event planner, when I emailed her, that if you don't think ur funny to pick a serious monologue, steve chambers said that as well.. and I really don't think i'm funny or goofy enough to do a funny one... but I will give whateva monologue i pick 100%..
