  • incredible sound

  • Williams FW11B, superb speed, beautiful paint finish, one of the best looking F1 cars of all time

  • You shoud hear that McLaren on the track with full throttle. In my opion the best F1-sound ever

  • Sorry to correct you guys, but the Williams is a FW11B Honda from 1987

  • and his mate Prost, with the only exception of the Monza's round won by G.Bergher and his Ferrari F1-87/88C V6 turbo. That year the Williams was passed to a Judd V8 na engine. The constructor's title was (off course) McLaren.

I hope to have writed on a nice english.

  • Excuse me, the Williams is an FW10 of '85 (Honda V6 powered however and second turbo Williams).

But I continue the my speech.

The '86 season has saw Alain Prost champion with the McLaren MP2-C powered by the TAG Porsche's V6, but whit the Williams-Honda constructor's title, the '87 the two cup are gone to the Williams, with Nelson Piquet champion too and the'88 was of the ex-Lotus driver Ayrton Senna, with the MP4/4 of the video: the entire season was maded by the victories of the brazilian...

  • ... reduction of the power in the qualifiyng session. the next year's F1 championship was the last one for the overcharged engines. In this last one, the boost limit was moved at 2,5 bars, whit the Honda's engine able of 650hp (the compression ratio has been increased at the same time).

We must don't forgot, at the same time, the natural aspiration engines were forbidden in '86 and in the '87 were reintroduced with the displacement limit moved from 3,0 to 3,5 liters.

  • the first car is a FW11 of the '86 and '87 season, I can't tell the MY because I can't see the front spoiler. In fact, in that second championship this wing was got the lateral flippers of major dimension.

The two cars of the video are powered by an Honda 1.5l V6 turbocarged, but when in the '86 doesn't exist regulamentar over pressure limitations (900hp in race and over 1000 in qualifications) , the 1987 season has saw the application of the 4 (four!!!) bars boost limit, with a little...

  • the limitation in 1987 was significant only for qualifying, as in race anyway you could not go over 4 bars for reliabilty and tyre consumtion reasons.

  • it's a Honda V6 Turbo if i'm not mistaken

  • Ford Engine??

  • Senna's Car !
