I flew to London for my thirtieth birthday. I took the train to Victoria Station an walked to Eaton Place to see (1)65. Avery happy day. I am very happy with this series.
III didn't know they brought this marvelous classic BACK!!!! Wonnnderful! I wish that BBC-America would have it on! How SUPER I found it here!! Thanks lots!
I have just seen on the BBC that there will be a second series in the first part of 2012 it will have six episode and they will be a big shock some where in the series.
Oh I'm so glad they rehired Johnny. That is GREAT!!! And Rose and the cook made up. All is well. I love this series, thanks so much. Watched it on a snowy day Feb.1 and was warmed by the glow of this series.
I've watched the three episodes of the new series three times now...my God, how I love them!! BBC One has just GOT TO make this into a full series. Thanks again - from London, Canada.
Oh thank you so much!! I loved the original 1970s versions of Updown and these three new episodes are superbly written, well acted and directed. Doing this on film instead of video tape works. Venturing in completely new directions with a new cast including Eileen Atkins yet keeping Jean Marsh as Rose was a splendid idea. I sure do hope BBC One makes it into a regular series.
@rskissack I likewise hope they make more episodes! I have long adored Jean Marsh and her recreation of USDS is very very good. I just would like it better if Keeley's character were to be less stiff and "shrill;" because, I absolutely love her.
