im kind of dissapointed in this documentary. After the first few parts i was expecting much more.....Last 6 parts are basically the same about more and more people doing the same thing
@flyersphan111 "then you become butterfly you shed the physical body that's a cocoon and then you take off to go down to all the galaxcies and I can't wait for it"
If we are immortal. Did I begin to exist when i was born here on Earth? Or did I "exist" somewhere before? Is it just a series a being "born" and then "dying" and and the doing it again? I'm not saying reincarnation in its definition, but maybe existing somewhere else in the universe as something else? That our time on Earth is just one of millions of existences we have? so confusing.
@SusiesQs ::: For every question you ask, there will be some school of thought that will affirm that that is the way it is. I would recommend that you look into all of them, then choose the one that makes the most sense to you. You may not be ultimately right, but you will have a working hypothesis that will carry you thru till that day arrives when you can check it out further.
@SusiesQs - I'd suggest you look up Dr Michael Newton here on youtube as he has several videos and deals with the afterlife; also he has some books out called 'Journey of Souls' and 'Destiny of Souls'.
@SusiesQs profound insight in your thinking ...trust...
the questions may indeed be the answers in fact linguistically when the subject is placed first ie 'did I' 'I did' the question then becomes the statement ...in fact your last sentence is atatement with a question mark rather than a period ... ;-]) three periods = ellipssis which simply means there is more
'That our time on Earth is just one of millions of existences we have...' so profounding..
Thank you so much for posting these. I'm in the middle of my first mediumship class and in spite of some amazing experiences with spirits throughout my life I have always distrusted the communications/experiences because my whole family is very "reductionist scientist". It really helps to have support for an alternate view.
@IntuitiveTeacher thank you for the upload. I enjoyed watching and look forward to seeing my past family and friends who passed over again someday, but not just yet = )
I believe in the afterlife and while I love my life I am living now and am happy for it to continue, I will also embrace death when my time comes and look forward to crossing over to my loved ones.....thank you for such an insightful video. The eternal question remains....is there life after death....keep your mind open to the possibilty!!!
This stops my brain from worrying so much..theres something out there and god damit im not gonna think about whats gonna happen either im gonna enjoy my life and look forward to the future :)
I don't think there is a reason for after-life, we are beings that depend of our brains to have conciencie; but... as agnostic, i cant say there is no life after life... if life is a miracle... why dead couldn't be too?
@IntuitiveTeacher it actually is a higher place of being then earth is, on the one of 7 dimensions that exist, but self death would only restart your life in a different body, after going between the worlds, and getting educated on the mistakes you had made on killing yourself, but from long time being interested in this, i do believe the after life is one step above of the the one of 7 planes we are among.
@CLOVERCITYY15 - Yes, according to my understanding, the physical world we're in here is the slowest in vibration, or frequency, and as you know, our physical senses are quite limited in their range. It's only logical that we will still function as a centre of awareness whether in the body or not. After all, isn't that what the "astral" body is all about - life in a finer dimension.
@saltheadd You're right, but spiritually, suicide is a big faux pas. The soul's energy gets confused and scattered and the life's mission wouldnt be complete.
survival of bodily death presupposes mind-body dualism & inevitably assumes personal identity is non-physical. this has some implausible implications. how can something non-physical interact causally with something physical? it either is epiphenomenal or violating the conservation of energy. if it's epiphenomenal, then it implies that consciousness is dependent upon the physical body.
if personal identity is non-physical, then there is no way to know whether you survive one sec to the next.
I am a social worker and this is the best documentary I have seen on the topic of death and dying. Its real. Its provocative. Most of all it pushes you to self examine and ask your self the eternal question of man kind. Is this all there is? Either way you go on the topic we all need to get along better and stop with the foolish petty arugments. Our lives are too important. Thanks to intuitive teacher for this post and HBO for making this documentary.
I have always loved Ms. Elisabeth Kubler-Ross who devoted her entire life to soothing and making the dying continue to feel valued.
I feel extreme sorrow for Sherwin B. Nuland M.D. whose heart cannot embrace a larger picture. He can only be pleasantly surprised after death but have no comfort in life.
I am dying. I am an impish person and I sincerely hope that this "me" will continue to make people feel love & happiness in the afterlife.
@SLBell thanks for making time to share your perspective here I found my self smiling as I read so let the record show " this "me" " IS continuing "to make people feel love & happiness in" this life.
Stupid materialist Doctor: "I am eternal dust and eternal dust is void. I am void. Consciousness is a glitch of fat betwixt your simian ear nodules. Void is all, and all is void. Nothing exists other than nonexistence!"
I am sorry the Doctor was in this as it does ill respect to the many thousands of people who have contriibuted to the "reality that there is Life beyond death". Rabbit
You can only cram in so much into a 90 minute documentary. And considering that this was produced by mainstream media, HBO, they did a pretty good job of presenting different facets to provide a door to anyone who wishes to explore the subject in greater depth. That skeptical doctor is so convinced that he is right that he leaves no room for something new to enter to challenge his dogmatic beliefs. He is a very poor man.
@jasoninparis This Doctor is so smart he's become arrogant and narrow minded in his fixed belief. He rules out all possibilities of any thing more than what he already believes to be true in the first place. He's the type of person that when they die would refuse to believe they really were dead, and no matter how many other spirits tried to convince them/him, he would just think they were a part of a dream that he was dreaming. Can anyone say earthbound spirit.

What if you don't/didn't love anyone? What is love anyway, and how is it measured?

All of us are eternal - every single one of us. Death is just a transition to something better!

A very weak documentary. They didn't show anything about NDEs and OBEs.
All I can say is that this strange skeptical doctor is completely wrong with his negative materialistic view of the world.
