Jackpot was one of my favorite games from my childhood. I used to watch this along with Bumper Stumpers, Chain Reaction and many other games on USA back when it had great game shows like this!
Brings back memories. I know the Geoff Edwards 74 run was the original, but this is the first version I remember. Those afternoons coming home from school to watch cartoons and the USA game shows...great times.
@johnissoevil same here when i was 3 years old i went over to my grandmas house i turned it to USA and was in Heaven with USA cartoon express, Play The Precentages, Let's Make a Deal, Bumper Stumpers, and of course Jackpot!
@GialloHorror I was thinking the same thing. They should not have accepted it. They said THREE words. And he gave four. Ah well. It's not my money. LOL
@tpir1972 No. I remember shows where the jackpot went into the four and five thousand dollars. In fact, in one game, the jackpot was higher than the Super Jackpot! Talk about irony!
The WHos the Boss episode mentioned in the ad aired September 23, 1986 originally. This episode probably is from a 9/22/86 GLobal airing, as Mike mentioned the start of the week. USA rerun the last week of the first Jackpot! season on the week of 9/22/86, so this Jackpot episode originally aired 3/24/86. The second season of Jackpot started the next week on USA
I thought they had a special Super Jackpot riddle when you hit the target? Seems lame that the $55 riddle would be worth that much cash.

He shouldn't have gotten that. He said "Live happily ever after" that's 4 words.
The correct answer was Happily ever after. Technically he missed it
