Hmm, there's a lot of unnecessary pansy-ass crap in this video. All you really need is a sleeping bag, a car, and a SAFE place to park. I highly recommend state park campgrounds. If you arrive late at night and leave early in the morning, you can often avoid having to pay. Whats the deal with the dude sleeping lengthwise in the backseat? Unless you're 4 feet tall, this will not work! Just recline the passenger seat all the way back.

Keep the cell phones handy but out of sight. Same goes for satnavs. I've crossed the states from sea to shining sea but IMHO England is worse for crime since the European Union was enlarged. Lay-bys on major roads can be risky as thieves cruise around looking for parked vehicles with sleeping drivers. Motorway services are too noisy and have a 2 hour parking limit so a good spot well off the beaten track is usually better. Even there you may find yobs doing burnouts. Good luck!
