  • Bass player is badazz....

  • And Chris' main influences were Jan Hammer, Chic Correa, John Mc Laughlin.... so it stands to reason..not sure who Wayne Shorter is, but Chris also dug him, and he liked Cream, just like EVH... go figure

  • wow

  • 4:04 holy crap..

  • WOW Kudos to Ohm seriously!!!

  • Half of the time Poland's eyes are shut while he is doing this! Like damn Poland do you really half to make me look that bad?

  • this reminds me of when megadeth covered "I aint supersticious" :L

  • What if OHM released a metal album? Just for a change... these guys are good enough to play some serious metal!

  • thats a sick bass

  • where's this song from? is it on any album or just a cover? anyone....

  • @deathmemorial "sitting on top of the world" by Cream....come on now, everyone should know that!

  • Why is he always soloing?

    Thats stupid.

  • @mikem376

It's a blues song. In case you haven't noticed, a lot of the times in blues songs there is a little solo basically after every line.

    Your stupid

  • @walshy0001 Like in some prog metal...

  • @mikem376 Why are you always bitching?

    That's stupid.

  • @mikem376 That's why is called blues dumbass

  • @mikem376 you are fucking stupid LOL who complains about solos. you sir, are gay and a virgin

  • @xXxBuLLeTxXx1 HAHAHA....NICE ONE!

  • @mikem376 your stupid. it takes TRUE talent to do what chris poland does.sorry its not your shitty little metal songs that just have chug chug chug the whole time. chris has more talent in his left hand then most every guitarist in the world

  • i wonder how many of these guys have shot up heroine before :P

  • that bass solo was the shit :)

  • Cool to see these cats. We have a mutual friend in common, named Bobby Robles.

  • cool cream cover

  • One of the artists I´d love to have a live DVD.

  • Please don't tell me that you are suggesting that Pag is an amateur bassist...That is just a ridiculous statement if you've listened to most of his basswork.

  • did you just say Pag was an amateur?

  • Chris is great. Very cool lines, kind of reminds me of Jan Hammer. One of the few "over the top" guitarists you can listen to and appreciate for anything other than technical profficiency.

  • @hanksteelbranch thats kind of funny cus chris said he listened to alot of stuff from jan hammer from his days in high school and tried to copy him , cool huh !

  • I have known him for over 20 years, he never ceases to amaze me. He keeps a black crystal at his feet I gave him when he plays for energy

  • rainbow at the end

  • What's wrong with his pinky? Seems to have trouble using it.

  • @bloodyfool23 in fifth grade he fell threw a plate glass window and fucked up his hand. that is also why he can't use his index finger like most players.

  • he uses it better. He can stretch it really far and it helps his style.

  • @satanblessmegadeth I haven't had anything happen to MY hand and I still have a hell of a time with my pinky....it just never seems to want to hold to anything.

  • @uofm97 pinkies are assholes.

  • @satanblessmegadeth You bet they are. When I try to fret a string with it, it winds bending out at an angle when I press down. I pretty much gave up using it, other than soloing when I hold a spot down with another finger and want to hit a few frets down (I forget what that is called....) without moving my entire hand.

  • @uofm97 could you be thinking of hammer ons? I have trouble with my pinky too. It's getting better though. It just takes a lot of practice.

  • @satanblessmegadeth Yep, that's it. Hammer-ons. I always forget, lol. I've been working to get it decent for almost 9 years and it basically does what it wants, so I just work around it.

  • I think 6 stringed bass's are ridiculous. Do you really need that many strings on a bass? Do you know how many notes can be created on a regular 4 string bass? More than enough....trust me. That six string is like those twin neck guitars......silly and unnecessary.

  • I agree. For convenience's sake, 5 strings are more than enough, as most drop tunings can be played with it and that's all one will need most of the time.

  • there are never enough strings, lol,of course plenty of notes can hit on a 4 string, but u cant achieve certain pitch depth. more strings opens you up to more versatility and im always open for more of anything, leave no note untouched nor pitch

  • I don't know, it seems like a gimmick to me. I am a traditionalist and think 4 stings is plenty. I really don't think you need 6 strings. Just my opinion.

  • @Flipper79able i play a 4 string mostly too, and so does a lot of masters of bass, like Steve Harris......

I also do agree that for a lot of bassists, the extra strings end up as window dressing. But when you are of the caliber of teh Myungs, and Entwistles and the like, they use every note imaginable, and there are limits to what 4 strings can do.

Don't hate cuz it's out of your style or skill preferrence. Good jams found on any number of strings.

  • @killerpeaches7 Okay, that's a good point. I am a traditionalist. Four strings have usually done it for rock.....and six strikes me.... as posing. Just because I feel this way doesn't make it right. It's my opinion.

  • @Flipper79able Primus.

  • @Flipper79able Oh you can't be serious..!!?? "These are the notes that we have been allocated as bass players....the rules prevent the use of any more...that would classed as...dare I say it..EXPRESSION!!!

Plenty for what??? To play the the exact octave below the root note of each chord??? What a fucking silly comment...if you are a bass player....give up now!!!

  • the drummer is son of ginger baker :D

    really

  • Chris Poland is a beast! A beast I say!!!!!!!

  • The entire killing is my business and peace sells have jazz structures.

  • uahahahahahahahhahahaha

  • KIMB = best Megadeth record!!

  • Burton play six string fretless, not likely.

  • Damn, Chris looks old.

  • Polands tone is like melting butter

  • HAHA burton would do better? Well, he has a slim chance if he can even solo without using distortion and wah.

  • thats not all that great dude suck it

  • this guy is the reasone why i started to play guitar

  • Starting at 4:05, eat your heart out, Burton fans.

  • your a retard burton only used distortion and a wah as a compliment to his playing and that shit that your boy friend played right there wast all that special you dirty fag

  • Better than anything Burton could do. Did you know that distortion and wah make it easier to solo and hide mistakes? Oooooo.

  • What does Burton have to do with that? Everyone knows Cliff Burton is not the most technical player in the world. That's not why people like him.

  • This is interspacial! Beyond everything coming out of the radio!

    Chris Poland = Sick!

  • These guys are great. Chris Poland is amazing.

I'm not sure why (or how) they can call this Mum. It's Cream's Sitting On Top Of The World in all its raw, free-form glory.

  • Holy shit Chris Poland!!!!

Who knew he'd be doing this after

    MEGADETH! Great music though.

    Good shit!!!

  • Well he was in a jazz band before Megadeth so it's no surprise.

  • that doesn't make any sense. If I had one-tenth the talent of Chris Poland I wouldn't quit music just for being kciked out of Megadeth. By the way, He was kicked out of Megadeth 22 years ago. It wouldn't take 22 years to get over it.

  • I aspire to play bass like that man. Period.

  • This isn't fucking rock. It's jazz.

  • definitely has some blues in there.

  • I think it is a cover (of whom I forget) but the original is pretty bluesy. Chris, Pag, and Kofi just added their godly jazz grace onto it to get what we are listening to now.

  • Its definitely a "bluesy" sounding song.

  • holy shit. pag rips.

  • For those who don't know, this is Sitting On Top of the World by Cream (covered by Cream, at least).

    Great stuff. I love Ohm.

  • well kofi baker plays the drums here

  • I mean it's beyond awesome

  • awesome

  • great music.

  • Great vid! Im not too fond of the vocals but hey, if u can play bass like that goddamn!!!

Chris is always as sellar as ever on this one! :)

  • Best band on the planet. Awesome.

  • HOLY SHIT

  • sup all
