I found an arrowhead while helping my grandmother get into the car after church. I swear this is true. It was in the space of ground between the sidewalk and the curb. It was like God had rewarded me for being the old lady's driver.
not asking for specific details but speaking generally, where is this, and is it close to a big river? I ask because our area of central Ohio just doesn't seem to have this type of sediment. it's either rocky, muddy, or both. not sandy in many places. I'm wondering if Ohio hunters near bigger rivers, maybe even the Scioto, or Muskingum, or Hocking find this kind of sediment in drainages in their areas.
@truthero It's here in Iowa and this was a little feeder creek off a larger creek. At this point of the creek it was only about of a main river system. My problem in my area is most creeks that were all rock when I was a kid is now mostly silt mud and sand from heavy farm field tilling. I wish they were all rock. If you have all rock showing in the creeks there, I bet there's points in them.
@iceyuok Thanks, that blade won me a award at the CSAS Show. I have a video on here of a second won like it I found awhile later about 1 1/2 mile away in another creek. Thanks for watching.
Me putting it in one of my frames of killer finds of o9. LOL Not sure on time period but would say maybe Archaic period somewhere around 4000 + years .
now that is what I am talking about.......Damn
