  • I have both films on DVD. I like the plot of the first one better (not too much), but the animation detail is just dumbfounding. I hate to be cliche' and use the word epic, but for lack of a better one, the epicness of the second one is beyond comprehension. These films are timeless masterpieces.

  • Nice!

  • devil may cry came from this!!

  • @jehrising damn I'm gonna try that.

  • i actually believe the story is pretty shallow and chaotic however i did enjoy everything else

  • i burned a copy of this dvd for a girl who likes anime and she let me have intercourse with her. it's that good.

  • Whenever want to show someone who's never seen anime before an anime, this is the movie that I show them. I wouldn't go so far as to say that it's the best anime ever, but the minimal cheese and the fantastic production value is a good way to break in any ani-newbies.

  • If they were to make a live action movie of this my number 1 vote for director would be Guillermo del Toro (Blade 2, Hellboy 1&2, Pan's Labyrinth) He's perfect for this kind of thing

  • I personally like Vampire Hunter D:Bloodlust more then the first one lol.

  • This trailer is cheesy, don't listen to it, just go watch Bloodlust right now, it kicks major ass.

  • What a film one of my fav movies an not just in anime!!! I wish sumone culd make a decent real life action vamp movie!! Blade was ok underworld alrite swear if I was in hollywood I'd be awesome!!

  • .-. Dracula and Van Hesling?

  • yo put this on blu ray hell yeah this anime movie is fucking sweet

  • Someone told me that the guy that designed D was the same guy that designed Cloud Strife and Sephiroth from FF7. Regardless, this movie is freaking amazing.

  • @Baz0kable He was actually Square Soft's first and primary artist. He was the main character, image, and graphic designer of the series; Yoshitaka Amano. He stepped down after Vl but continues to contribute to the game series. And he is is the main illustrator for the Vampire Hunter D series.

  • The lead female in the first one was cute and hot. I'm not getting a good feeling on this one, but I guess you can't always win. hehe

  • So COOL

  • I fucking love this film

  • @khsakura I want to fuck this film.

  • @HadrianBlindEye yes, you make a better point

  • can you upload the episodes?

  • I haven't met anyone who doesn't like this movie. From gangstas to pimps to computer nerds.

  • darkaveger09

is it D becouse he is a dhampyr?

  • one of the best animated movies ever created

  • THIS MOVIE ROCKS! Watched it again last night! Hollywood could learn ALOT from this movie!

  • what means D? is it becouse he was son of Dracula or something?

  • @vapores86 yea i suggest watch the first one 80's version

  • It baffles me how they could make such a kickass movie from such a shitty book series.

  • good bad

  • I think you can watch h th1s f!lm @ MOOV ZON, COM

search the above link on google

  • do these movies get really gory like ninja scrolls?

  • no, i don' think.

  • @Esperanzafleet69 if you want an extremely gory anime try genocyber, once it gets into the story a little its got some great scenes although the overall story is crap

  • Any word when this is coming out on Blu-Ray?

  • they are in fact in talks to do another Vampire Hunter D movie...though its uncertain which book they will do...the producers of Bloodlust want to do a remake of the original book/movie but kikuchi wants to see an adaptation of the North Sea book series

  • ARE U SERIOUS! how did u know?

  • the books are awsome.

  • you've read it!! i think that's pretty neat.

  • reminds me of black blood brothers

  • The dude who is talking here was the original D in the first movie

  • i havent seen this movie.. i don't know..?! could anybody tell me what the movie goes about.?? thx. <3

  • Let's see, without spoilers... A woman is kidnapped by a vampire, her family pays D, a vampire hunter, to save her from him. But another team of vampire hunters is also on the case and not willing to share the profits. An additional unexpected enemy makes the whole thing much more complicated for pretty much everyone.

I recommend it; I liked it enough to buy the first 10 novels (more to come) ^^

  • I wish they would produce another Vampire Hunter D film...the books are well past ten now and even translated and avliable in the States.

  • Great movie, greater books. Ending to this movie was happier than the book's ending.

  • Wonderful movie. One of the best vampire movies I've seen.

  • Im going to download the movie tomorrow..OOH I CANT WAIT TO WATCH IT XD

  • Really a top notch anime.

the first was great but this one surpassed it. The art style fits it perfectly, and some excellent characters.

One of the best all around easily.

    Thanks for uploading.

  • poor charllote. she just wanted to be with Meier. If only.

  • when darkness falls the hunt begins

  • besides the fact that they're just a cartoon, does anyone else think that D and Meier are quite hot ?? XD

  • YES!! FUCK YES!!! THE ARROW CATCH WAS AT THE END!!! I was hoping they would do that! I fucking love this movie and this trailer makes me want to rewatch it so badly. I haven't seen it in years and I'm sure it would surprise me with how great it is yet again. Oh and that trailer guy's voice sucks ass!

  • same here! I knew that would happen in the end! I just bought the novels volume 1,2,and 4. Im sure they'll be just as good

  • That's great to hear. And yes the arrow catch is badass!

  • Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust is hands down, one of the best films. Powerful, provocative, atmospheric, edgy, imaginative, moody, and memorable. This trailer (cheesy voice included) gives no justice to how wonderful the film is. The direction, score, main characters, villains, cinematography, atmosphere, and art direction (amongst numerous other elements) is superb. The story is solid too, and the person who voices D is great. Thank you to those involved for producing a passionate, magical gem.

  • of course! look at who directed it, yoshiaki kawajiri. he's behind some of the best animated films out there. not to mention yoshitaka amano is behind the original. altogether, an amazing film, coming from the minds of amazing artists.

  • Amano as in the guy who worked on Final Fantasy?!!!!!!

  • you know it brother.

  • yup thats the guy (:

  • @jayden777 Amen to that. :)

  • @jayden777 HOW COME THEY NEVER BRANCHED OUT WITH THIS !?!?!?

  • I love that movie!

  • i really love this film

  • bosje vette film!!

  • I own this on DVD, it kicks ass.

The voice-over for the trailer was done by Michael McConnohie, who voiced D in the first film.

  • Really?! Now I feel bad for making fun of him. lol But seriously, his voice just doesn;t do the trailer Justice.

  • He is also Ramba Ral from Mobile Suit Gundam the movies

  • Say, is the sound good on the DVD? I'd like to buy it but I'm a little concerned about the fact that all videos I've seen of it seem to have the volume incredibly low.

  • @UseBefore2007 I have this on my playlist if you wish to watch it and it has a MUCH better volume on the DVD.

  • Thanks, that's good to know. My birthday is coming up in a couple months so I may try to order it by then :)

  • @UseBefore2007 You won't regret it. Its a awesome movie. I had this movie but lost it when I move. This reminds me I have to buy it again.

  • Alright, yeah, whatever. The film industry and everyone in it is completely wrong, you're completely right, it's crazy to think stealing DVD's is bad. Stealing DVD's is our god given right and no artist deserves to be paid for his work. That'd just be nuts, it's the people who do jack shit that deserve the luxury. Oh logical world!

  • just post your response movies i accept all vampire hunter movies you ppl have make but only movies about vampire hunter ! so just post you response

  • i really love this film, just look at my AMV to it^^

  • where are you able to see this?

  • absolutely beautiful :D

  • My absolute favorite anime movie of all time. Beleive me, I've seen a lot of anime movies, but none compares to this one. Thanks for uploading!

  • better than ninja scroll? im looking for good anime to watch, might you please throw some titles my way?

  • You are? Maybe I can help...but first I gotta know, what type of anime are you into?

  • i like gundam wing alot. anything with a bib budget or futureistic im sure il love

  • Wait. Are you talking about anime movies or tv shows?

  • movies

  • So ironic...I look everywhere for this trailer. O can't find it anywhere, of course.

And now that I've seen the movie, I fnd the trailer.

Huh. Funny old world, isn't it?

  • no, its not a funny old world

  • cool.

  • thx for sharing that with us ^^

I'v downloaded the movie ^-^ but never seen the trailer for it.. Anyways i DO recomend you people out there Download the movie or buy it. Its VERY good ^^

  • lrn 2 not tell the whole world about your illegal habits..

  • illegal, i have no sympathy for the movie industry they opened pandora's box when they digitized their product. The money they lost in sales the have gained back in lower production costs.

  • "Sympathy"? Has it not crossed your mind that there are plenty of creative people out their making things -you- like just out of love for the process? They didn't digitise shit, that was the technology industry. Clearly you like their product so I have no idea why you feel they don't deserve to be able to actually sell it, then again it's people like you who wouldn't mind at all if the industry withered and died. You'd move onto something else.

  • You think this guy ripped this from VHS. No, the movie companys chose the benefits (lower production costs) of digital media over its inherient risk.

  • Yeah the distribution company did, who don't make the content.

Clearly though, if you made something you were proud of and that looked amazing your smart idea would be to not have a publisher and to send it out on shitty VHS tape. Nothing like quality eh. Don't know if you've noticed, but the entire world has moved on to digital mediums as the standard of decent quality, there is no quality analog medium.

  • If you really like digital media you have to take the good with bad. My brother works for a large news corporation, up until last year they were using beta in their editing room. Analog media is not inferior to digital in quality, its inferior in the cost of the actual media.

  • Dude, you *are* the bad. You can't say it's just an unfortunate flaw when you're blatantly causing the problem. Most people are smart enough to keep it to themselves, it's just insanely ignorant to swan around the internet making it openly known that you can't be bothered to buy what you watch. Digital clearly is superior visually and aurally, there is no argument to dispute that. DVD only ever took off due to picture quality, people weren't paying twice the price for pretty menu's.

  • If I sell coke cans and I find customers are refilling them and taking them to work who's fault is that. Mine for selling the coke cans or the customers for taking them to work.

  • so cool,thanks for uploading.^^
