He's right but I doubt it will do any good, sadly if you want to get the Americans et al on board the credit system allows large corporates to amortise the cost of cleaning up their act on the balance sheet easily. It's also is easier to legally adopted/enforced than a standardised clean air law for all the countries of the world.

I trust his judgment on most things. Its such a pity he isnt ambitious enough to go for higher office, but he would have had to sacrifice so many principles that it would be a loss of integrity. So... Stay the way you are, Alan!!

he's a very thoughtful man isn't he? one of the few mp's in the house of commons who sticks to his principles.
