I've heard a lot of versions and quite a few remixes of this tune and I have to say this one's probably my favorite. The perfect blend of old and new! Although honestly even though I know it would've been very difficult to put in, I wish you could add the opening brass tag from the new Smith series. I love that riff!

@alphamone Murray Gold, the guy who has done the music for DW since 2005, has said he'll be staying on for the 11th Doctor in an interview, and played the interviewer a worktape for the new theme. So yes, there will be a new theme for Matt Smith! H00RAY!
(i want more people to download it and use it on audiosurf, as only two other people have scores for it, and I want some more competition, as i have the top score by a long shot)
I always thought that the Tennant theme was patterned after the Davison one. Sounds absolutely fantasic. Could and should have been used on Time Crash. My compliments.
I've attempted to make a set of homemade titles for 'Time Crash', but due to my relative lack of resources (especially where software is concerned), it ain't half as good as this set (or at least the set that this video's a Video Responce to - these aren't supposed to be 'Time Crash' titles!)!
This is BADASS!!! It's Nov. 3rd now, so 3 days till the Series 3 release here in America, and 21 days till Time Crash, if I remember correctly!!! I can't wait to see it!!!
I don't know why that's happened, on the version I have on my hard-drive, they are in basic balance. Oh well, you get the general idea, hopefully it will be different when it's on whomix.
Actually I prefer the Howell theme to have more presence, it's far better than Murray Gold's. A great video by the way. I probably would have thought of it myself eventually. The only thing that jarred was when you tried to put both middle 8 sections of each theme together, because towards the end, Murray Gold's and Peter Howell's arrangements differ a lot at that one small point (1.05-1.13 and 2.11-2.27). Other than that, absolutely perfect.
The new opening's CGI graphics are terrible when compared with Howell's and Baker's

if there is a new theme for the 11th doctor, I hope you can find some time to mix the theme with whichever other theme it mixes well with.

How about Delia-Gold? or Glyn-Howell?
ReyvinVinnex 3 years ago
gold's theme already has elements of the original Delia theme.

I know, but mixing the themes still sounds cool!

Time Crash is tonight, people! You're all lucky. You don't currently have the writers of America going on strike!
Getter count down to the series four DVD then.
Master1Saxon0 4 years ago
Not bad. If you mixed in Tennant's face and took out Colin, you might almost have a perfect "Time Crash" theme.
