  • @GTcole ya you are that is called tounging you nerd.. have u ever heard of it??

  • Is it okay if I do a tuuut instead of a pfft? I learned another instrument like that and I've just been playing the sax like that since I started.

  • I play the clarinet and I know that Saxophone players need to use warm air to voice the notes when clarinetist need to use cold air to voice and focusing the sound. But why do saxophonist commonly not use flat chin embouchure(at least jazz players)?

  • I disagree. what i've found is that people's embochures are to tight around the mouthpiece and read not allowing the read to vibrate freely and diminshing your sound to sound like ..well like yours. I see you have a some type of metal mouthpiec and what looks like a pro horn. Your sound should be a lot bigger and clearer than that.

  • Although I'm a clarinetist I really like the none embouchure embouchure teaching from Jerry Bergonzi which you can see hear on youtube or at the rico website. On the clarinet the embouchure needs to be a little bit tighter in the upper register by moving the jaw a little bit further. Other than that the embouchure needs to be relatively relaxed.

  • I just made for first sound. It was sort of 'honk'! I hope this won't take too long to get to playing at least something simple, it's a lot harder than it looks!!! Sigh..

  • i feel you man i just blew my first notes today and it sounded pretty comical haha

  • honk right back at ya

  • like a lightsaber? lol

  • nice video
