Gandalf himself say it to Pippin and Denethor, that he was somewhere near River Anduin (Osgiliath?) and he felt the presence of an enemy with powers greater than his own. I remember this part so well because Pippin screams: "SAURON", but it was the Witch-king. and than Denethor explain why you never see great Kings and Dark Lords in Battles.
Even in the books the Witch-king is more powerfull than Gandalf! So it makes sence.
My only problem with the extended version is where the Witch King walk all over Gandalf as if Gandalf was the witch kings bitch.
That would NOT happen in the universe of the book the Witch King although powerful isn´t nearly as powerful as his Dark Lord and Gandalf and Sauron are both Maiars and while it could be argued that the witch king might be able to fight Gandalf to a standstill if he REALLY gave all he had. Walking over Gandalf breaking his staff no the witch king just isn´t that strong
One of the most best movies of all time! What makes a movie like this so great? Awesome special effects, fight scenes, great story line, characters we love and feel for. This had them all.
i love the witch king. what pains me is that he was killed in the most un-epic way possibly. pffft. the should have had him and the king of the dead face off. thats sum epicness right there!
i would say mordoe has the best because even if saruman's uruk-hai are better trained than orcs, the orcs outnumber them 100 to 1 and they have trolls, nazgul, and mumakil, with evil wicked men allies... what allies dose isengaurd have? dunderlings... but I don't think that would save them ;)
well saruman had 10,000 uruk-hai.. sauron has about 10,000,000 orcs, if not more. 10,000 trolls. 100 to 500 mumakil. 5,000 wicked men of rhun. about 5,000 haradrim. who knows how many catapults siege towers and other mechanical weaponry. the nazgul. the forces of minas morgul. and im pretty shure he's got lots more crap hidden up his sleaves. oh and also the majority of the goblins are under his control aswell, along with there cave trolls and mountain giants. so yeah sauron wins. hands down..

brilliant! i really do like that piece of music and the vid went well with it :D. now im not criticising but u left out one of the most evil beings from the lord of the rings! there was no balrog :'(
