I'd say that the comparison of Patapon and Nintendo DS games is because it's quirky. There haven't been a lot of truly quirky games for the PSP, let alone any PlayStation console.
And I wouldn't say it has a kiddy look. Nintendo DS games don't automatically suggest "children" even though a lot of people tend to associate the DS with children and the PSP with adults.
Nice review, but imo Patapon is never boring.

BORING??? to pass the levels?? Cmon it's not boring to try to pass the hard levels or when you have lost one.
It's more fun, i did'n found it frustrating.
good review but you dont have to stratch the game in search of failures, cause i feel it's a little forced that boring part. L_L!

its not beacuse it haves a kiddy look it is a ds game.
and by the way, this is new, nintondo's games are old (mario...).
