Your YouTube video was one of the reasons that I bought that bike (only difference is that I have a 2010 model). Had the Performance Exhaust ordered and installed, which I absolutely had to have. Nice presentation. In my opinion, Victory/Polaris should pay a commission to you and to others who have bought and/or road tested this model, because these videos were what sold me on the bike.
wow that is awesome!! I'm on the fence between a HD dyna wideglide and a Vic hammer---but every time i turn around or read a review these victorys seem to come out on top!!!
@drunkinbunkin visit your local victory dealer and take one for a test ride, or if you can find the victory fuel it truck, you can ride every model all day long for free and really see what the bikes have to offer. i sold the hammer and have since purchased a victory cross country, imho its a far superior bike if you enjoy cruising and riding 2 up or riding several hundred miles a day. also look for the Arizona Victory vid's on this site a comparison HD vs Victory the truth may hurt....
@9secondsflat thanks for spreading the word man, after seeing a few of those comparison videos I feel alot better about victory!! (not to mention worse about HD lol)
@9secondsflat HELLO, I THINK I GOT THIS HAMMER S . I PURCHASED THE BIKE AT MOMS SOUTH, AND IT HAD 2.500 MILES ON IT. I FELL IN LOVE WITH THE BIKE AND BOUGHT IT. THIS BIKE KICKS ASS.
@drunkinbunkin go check out some vids by somthing called arizonavictory. they have great vids about the harley vs. victory engines.... just a hint... Victory engines are more high quality
Thanks for the post, I liked it so much I went out and bought a 2010 Hammer S and had them ship it to me(same color). I got the same pipe installed and the bike is amazing You need to ask Victory for a kick back because I bought a bike and I have 4 friends that are sold on these bad boyz, thanks! I had a crotch rocket but this bike has more style and its more fun to ride once people stop asking about it..... Thanks!!!
@bunsterflusey Enjoy the bike, I hope you like alot of attention and talking to people..Everywhere I went people asked alot of questions. BTW, if you want to add some serious power add Lloyds torque tubes and his controller. I was at MOMS of Attleboro a few weeks ago during their open house and lloyd was their tuning bikes. I watched an 08 Hammer S (the black/silver 100 cube inch) on the dyno...it made 116ft/lbs of torque and 105 hp with the addition of his products....
The basic service such as an oil change is about as simple as can be on a bike, the filter is wide open as is the drain plug... tires can be swapped by any bike shop, does not have to be a vic dealer. they have a 5k service schedule just for oil changes...the bikes are damn near bullet proof as compared to a harley and its schedule of maintence. As for dealers my XC was bought at MOMS in attleboro but there is another dealer closer in CT they are advancedpowersports in griswold.....more next
@9secondsflat pt 2, my sugestion is to seek out the next local FUEL IT tour and ride all the different models. while i loved the look of the hammer s, it stunk on the highway 65-70+ due to riding position. you were always holding on for dear life and got quite a workout in your arms. its really just a bar hopper type of bike, more then 50 miles was painful even with the vic touring seat (not shown)..i traded in the hammer s fo the vic xc in my other vid last fall. vic has a home run with th xc
@9secondsflat Where do you go for srvice? I'm considering a Victory but I live about an hour from the nearest Victory dealer which is in Hartford. That's probably my biggest concern with a Victory is where to have it serviced.
beauty.... but the best is the feedback about motorcyclemoving, dude all guys on youtube spoust due this same if they have bad experience with some company....
DONT EVER USE MOTORCYLEMOVING (dot) net they stink, their service is lousy, their drivers try to extort money from you, they deliever the bike in pitch dark so you can not inspect the bike
Hi, im in the UK and have just orderd the same bike. Coming with 2 into 1 pipe like yours, the mods you have done look great. Just wanted to know how you removed the "hammer" logo off the rear fender? like the clean look of yours.
@KutWrite I have 500 miles on it now and the bike pulls really strong...it will out pull my friends screamin eagle harleys....the only downside is the stock seat...puts alot of pressure on my tailbone...it is being sent to a shop in hanover,ma who will put new foam and gel in the back to soften the ride.
The vic perf 2-1 pipe is very quite when riding...it will bark when you roll on the gas so this is just a matter of taste...some people like loud pipes all the time
Did you get a lowering kit for the rear? To bring the fender closer to the tire. I think it looks better that way.

@Meaclare1 a hairdryer held 1-2 inches away will heat up the adhesive and they will peel off...any residue can be removed with goo gone or wd-40...

Beautiful bike.
Do you still like it now?
I'm considering one of these or a Street Bob. Any thoughts?
Thanks!
