to be honest, that never happened. An earthquake hit Troy and collapsed the walls where the Greek forces rushed in and slaughtered everybody.

I mean seriously, if the Greeks could hold off the Persians in Thermopylae, they could identify a wooden horse from a trap...

But the legend rose from what actually happened where the greeks killed the last of the Trojan horse that were fighting outside the city, then dressed themselves up as the trojans and acted out a chase in which the trojans opened the only gate unsealed and let the disguised greeks in. After the city fell 3 days later and the hittie army showed up and sent the greeks away:

@WolfytheWolf5667 The isle of thera's volcano blew which caused the earthquake which brought down a lot of troys walls. Also, the trojans weren't greeks, it was the greeks that fought the Persians in later years not the trojans. Hope that clears things up.

After the war the last of the trojans led by King Aeneas, a prince of Dardania, escaped and built rome and were the starting point for the roman civilization. Try not to get that mixed up again kid.

ive always wanted to play as hector the warrior who knew he wasnt as good as achilles yet still went to battle to challenge him and the greek army. Kind of being like the houston rockets when the won there championships. To take something everyone says your not ready for and maybe just a little luck. I want to be hector prince of troy!!!!

@BoricuaAlex in the book the war went on for 10 years and it started at year 9, hector face off against ajax and odysseus. He ran from achilles in fear then faced him after being fooled by hera. He threw a spear at him and connected but achilles had armor crafted by the gods so he couldnt get hurt. If you go by the book theres alot of varibles to take into account but to share the same battlefield for so long against a far larger army is a feat in itself.

Why do they always have to add some bullshit magic and mythology to these kinds of titles. It completely fuckin ruins it for me. Movies like Troy, Gladiator, and Braveheart don't have any of that fake crap in it and it and they are still some of the most entertaining films out there. Why cant they do that in a game huh?
