Peter Posa was the very first guitar teacher for everyone who played this instrument all over the Pacific Ocean. I learned to play guitar on hearing some of his LP or 45, like The Mad Hater, This is Peter Posa, My kind of pickin'. From Tahiti, Fiji,New Hebrides (Vanuatu),New Caledonia,Salomon Islands,New Guinea,Australia,New Zealand, we can hear "the style of Peter Posa" through most of the guitarists. He influenced our musical culture in the pacific ! Thank you so much Mister Peter Posa !
remember the day he visited Suva the Capital to promote his LP's. This particular street called Cumming Street had to be closed because of the huge crowd that came from near and far just to

@Mik19Kal Yess i'm totally agree ! the pacific guitar style is from him :)
I'm a 21 old wallisian, but I can measure the impact of his music, especially on the 70's 80's pacific music.

I was still in high school during the 60's in
the Fiji Islands, when I first heard of Peter
Posa and his style of guitar music. I still
remember the day he visited Suva the Capital to promote his LP's. This particular street called Cumming Street had to be closed because of the huge crowd that came from near and far just to
see Peter Posa in person. God Bless You
Peter.
Foerever a fan. George Sale Asuega.
