I plan on buying these decks as well. Like you said, they are probably better to learn on. Doesn't make sense to buy an expensive set of decks and end up quiting after a year. If one can perform great on a cheap pair of decks, you can probably do some amazing things on a better set. Peace
i've got these decks i've had them about a month and have noticed that when you go into minus on the pitch it speeds up before slowing down. do you find the same thing?
I have a set of these as well. They really do have poor torque. I noticed the "cheapness" of the tables the second I unpacked them. The needles they come with are poor as well as far as scratching is concerned. Despite these downsides, I kept mine. I started DJing only a few months ago and these decks were my first purchase, as for me I relate it to any other instrument. E.G. when learning to play guitar one usually purchases a beginner brand rather than a thousand dollar model.

These aren't so bad to learn on but I would not recommend them to any experienced DJ. I've learned that with the right combination of "butter rugs" "flying carpets" and slip mats the torque problem can be overcome. You still need a soft touch but I'm actually starting to scratch on these decks very well . I figure if I can practice enough to sound good on Cheap Decks, when I upgrade things will sound that much better. Hope this helps, Oh I would recommend buying Numark TT-500 over these decks
what the hell is this?

you suck as much as those turntables do. You should take this garbage off youtube to save your self from further embarrassment.
