That part is known as Frogger. What happenes is you have to go in between the slime moving from one side to another without dying by touching the slime. There are snowballs in the game, that used to knock someone over if you threw them at someone. What happened here, was during Frogger, he threw a snowball at his friend, knocking him down into the slime, and killing him.

Pretty much, it's just a douche move.

this was at lvl60, back then snowballs used to knock you down when you hit someone in your party/raid. this is when naxx used to be hard

the knockdown is only in effect if the one getting hit is in the same party as the one throwing the snowball. I dunno about different groups in raids though.
