hey can you coil all the wire in your pocket comfortably? i'm trying to decide between the straight and the coiled version and which one do you think is better for just casual music listening? thanks
hey everyone, I have got a pair of these I am looking to sell as I never use them anymore. They would be around half the price and are in perfect condition. If you are interested, please send me a message and I will make a video showing you them in detail!
I wanna order these online but im stuck between the straight or coiled cable and since u have the coiled cable i wanted to know if i pluged it in my laptop and i decide to go a bit far from it wud it extend properly or would it just get unplugged? i dunno how to explain this better cuz sometimes i like to leave my laptop on the desk and just lay down on my bed which is around 2.6-3m away from my desk so you can know how much i'd need it to extend without pulling too hard for it to get unplugged.
@DJiModel If you're going to be 2.6-3m away, i would go for the straight cable. Just to be safe. Plus, in the worst case, you can just put a rubber band on your cable if its too long.
If I can get the Studio Beats for the same price as the ATH-M50s, which should I get? I listen to a little bit of everything, but mostly rap and hip-hop.
@craig44 what is beast for you? style or audio quality? maybe the beats have boosted bass but these sound natural.. you still can bust the bass on them with EQ and make them play with even more bass than beats..
I just bought these 12/1/11 and I'm going to let them burn in but I love them already, and I own Sennheiser hd 280 wich are also amazing and bose mie2i's for the ipod 4s. The Technica's are excellent and for 130 from amazon, its a steal.
For people asking how the bass on these is.... well, you will NEVER get professional headphones, especially high quality ones that are very bass heavy. These headphones were made for monitoring in studio, so the sound must be as realistic and natural as possible. You will still get more bass and much higher quality bass than some cheap or shitty headphones like skullcandy or beats, but dont expect subwoofer style bass.
@typeqcnat1 Monitor headphones are used in audio production, they're very very detailed, and sound engineers use them to find imperfections in songs / sounds and to make the songs sound as natural and good as possible. I'd personally never use monitor headphones for listening because they're too analytical, not very fun to listen to. At first it can be amazing how many details you can hear, but after some time, it gets annoying and you often hear things in songs that you DON'T want to hear.
@FlipsideJohn HOW MUCH DID YOU PAY FOR THESE? I'm going to buy these based on a lot of reviews that I've read, and a lot of reviews form last year mention the price being around $100. Right now, it seems like they run $149-$159 online. The cheaper I can get these for, the more satisfied I will be...especially since I almost dropped $300+ tax on the Bose!
these headphones are made for studio purpose, so it may leak some sound, it may not have heavy bass, but it is designed to have "flat" sound. This is not the best headphones for listening music. So if you are looking for headphones to listen to music, look for bose or other products that are other than STUDIO MONITORS
@fenixblogs no, these headphones are not "heavy in bass" but they do mix it in very nicely. If your looking for strictly bass you might want to try other headphones, i believe Senheiser has a pair that has strong bass.
@fenixblogs they are monitor headphones, they don't "bass boost" like other headphones like sony and are made so that you can hear ALL the sounds going on, its originally made to "decoulour" the sound for producers.
@Rajonty If the chord is hanging you cant really notice the weight and it doesn't displace on your head. There's a little tension when stretching long distances, about 6-8 feet will give a very small pull feeling. None of these should be concerning because they become unnoticeable after you are used to the small pull feeling.
should i get this or the ATH-WS70?

@ChefPepperoni keep in mind the straight is a long ass cord. the coil makes it more portable.
