Yellow tips - HEI (high explosive incendiary - each bullet is a mini bomb) bullets on the rounds which accounts for the damage and brightness at the target end. Have seen many many rounds on the harmonization range and out on the live range from A-10's in the Las Vegas desert when I was stationed at Nellis AFB. Makes a person feel extremely helpless no matter what armor they have on especially when they fire the depleted uranium rounds.

Oh trust me we have. They use lots of these in the middle east on the A-10's. I live right under Davis-Monthan airforce base in tucson AZ. There are about 2 A-10's that come in every 10 minutes.

Gatling Gun is the style. Multiple barrel machine gun. I can't tell from the video but those look like 30mm rounds. This was developed for the A-10. I believe that the 20mm version was developed for CIWS.

I'm certainly no expert, but I don't think they are. If that's the GAU-8, then it's probably firing discarding sabot AP shells, as it often does when used on the A-10 Warthog. If that's the case, the sparks and heat are just the result of the massive friction of dozens of rounds impacting in the span of a second.
