  • nc43 is too dark for you also try using mac fix plus it take's away the cakiness away.

  • my goodness nc43 is soo not your color honey! you should try nc35 or nc40 next time! ;)

  • omg im aboput to buy it online should i buy it should i not buy it? someone tell me

  • if it looks to yellow, perhaps you are wearing the wrong colour tone.

  • try the liquid studio fix its way better

  • The color is not for you!!

I use the same foundation and the color is like 3 times lighter than my normal skin but when you buff it in it looks really good.

    You need a lighter color.

  • Trust me it's not ur Colour! I'm really tan and goldenish Colour and I use nc43

  • Sometimes ppl have flaky skin because they don't use a good moisturizer

  • You need to use it your face looks like a seahorse

  • its the wrong color for you sweety. That might be why you dont like it. Ive done that before. There's no way that's can be your complexion cause its mine and Im a golden/honey/toast/biege/caramel complexion lol Long description I know.

  • it was a bad color and it for oily skin mainly is definitly not for you

  • Maybe it looked heavy because it's not your color??

Im half black/japanese ..alot darker than you and I wear NC43 lol

  • Can you make a tutorial on how to use this?

I feel like it doesnt cover up much when I use it

  • try NC40 , try anything lighter than that its too dark for you

  • @ElleOhVE143 no more mac foundation for me, this scared me off :D

  • How did you end up with this color match to NC43, its just way wrong for you.

Also, what powder do you wear now?!! Did you find a HG powder you love?

  • @SamFem i love love the Estee Lauder double wear, and also the cover fx powder. But now I prefer the nars sheer matt and the Lancome TEINT IDOLE ULTRA which stay so much longer.

  • GEEZ U definitely have the wrong shade. Hey --if you put NC43 on your light skin it is DEFINITELY going to look heavy. Yeah maybe Studio fix doesn't suit u, but when the color is sooooo extremely wrong its kinda hard4 u to accurately review it.

I got this ~ 3 yrs ago and I thought I didn't care for it but yet ever since I have been comparing every other powder to Studio Fix. So now Im thinking about buying it again, cuz it didn't settle into lines/wrinkles/pores like other powders do.

  • @SamFem it's wierd, it seems that most people who use this shade are darker, but the shade wasn't the problem, it was the texture and how it made me break out

  • Don't feel bad because I don't like it either. After an hour my face looked like I put vaseline on my face.

  • @mzprettyparis1 lol i wish I like it though :(

  • whoaa! my skintone is brown and im NC43

  • @musicINspired707 I don't kno why the shade actually matched me quite nicely, I just hated the feel of it :(

  • you look like an NC40. NC43 is wayy too dark. im tanner than you and im not even an NC 43. and also, they have dofferent formulated powders to suit your kind of skin like the minerlized skin finish natural; which is NOT HEAVY and is more of a smooth finish not entirely MATTE. if your skin is dry, use careblend. and if yer just a sheer coverage kind of girl, there one like that too. select sheer i think.

  • I'm Asian, tanned, in southern Cali & I am also a NC43 in MAC Select Foundation. I know what you mean by flaky bc some powders do that. I don't remember if this did, but that's why I stick to liquid foundation. I use powder to "top" off my foundation & hold it in place. I use a flat top brush for that. Maybe try a liquid foundation & not necessarily the Studio Fix line since they are "studio" make-up.

  • @AznxXxDreamz I know! I just moved to N Cal and all i use are liquid foundations

  • It is studio make up so it is gonna be thick on top of that it is powder and foudation. They do have lighter stuff but like I said because it is studio make up every thing will be on the thicker stuff.

  • @MsElie1984 Guess i should stay away then :D no photo or studio shots for me!

  • @ILgreenday2 I'm black and I'm an Nc43 too. This foundation is so nice by far the best I've ever tried! Luv it

  • do you know the difference between the NC 42 & 43 in this? I heard someone say 42 is actually darker? thanks!

  • im nc43 and im black :/

  • @ILgreenday2 really? that's surprising because it has a really yellow undertone. Do you like it?

  • I am also shade NC43 and I found the same issues with this product. I thought it was just me but now I know that it wasn't just me! Thanks

  • @leestar149 I know, everyone loves mac so much they all thought I was crazy :D

  • if u got flaky skin, this is not the right foundation for u. this foundation is for oily skin, and u should probably use something for dry skin hence the flaking.

  • @Eiinnoc hi :) actually, I also have really really oily skin :( but I stopped using this foundation, just not for me

  • I have it and the same thing happened to me......I put it away! Then, a few months later I got the sigma kabuki brush and I tried it with this foundation, then used MAC fix+ and I fell in love. The trick is using a brush for mineral makeup rathe than a sponge or puff. If it's not too late....and you have not already sold it you should try it!

  • @alexandralicwinko I already sold it :( that sucks! i didn't bother trying it any other way and i just buffed it on....but thanks for the tip! i will use it on some other powder foundation

  • MAC makeup actually broke me out. It's not for everyone cause most of their foundations are so thick so they can clog up your pores.
