The strangest thing about Bedford is the amount of idiots who are from there and have nothing better to say than it's shit. It's a mid-sized market town with a fairly multicultural population. It is what it is, it's not particularly amazing nor is it a shithole. There aren't any more chavs than in any other town in the country. Some areas are nice, others less so. It's a decent small town. Not everywhere can be the Monaco's of this world. Luckily for you moaners Paris and London aren't far away

I wouldn't read or listen to littlebigbrain as they clearly don't know what they are talking about for starters Kempstone is spelt Kempston and you are of the opinion that Bedfordshire should be changed to Lutonshire well it isn't and wont coz no matter how big Luton gets it will still be a car factory with a very small village attached.

Bedford population=147911

Luton population=184371

now in my book that's no where near double

Bedford is not quite as bad as it may be made out to be. I have lived here all my life so far, I live in a more quieter part though. Got some idiots and scum, just got to keep away from them. Midland Road, I know well, its a gauntlet of the worst people. That and it seems most of the murders in Bedford are in and around that area :D

I recognized the bridge over the river in the opening scene. One summer night in 1967 few of my buddy's from RAF Chicksands had too much to drink at the Saraecan's Head pub. They ended up walking the streets and one of them was 'dared' to walk across the bridge rail. He made it. All were eventually 'detained' by the Bedford Constabulary and returned to Chicksands. The 'bridge walker guy?" He also 'relieved himself mid way across the bridge. Loved Bedford. Good video.

Bedford is a town and not a city. It's not even a big town so unless your are not used to towns have a look around the UK at towns and cities you might begin to recognise the difference!

I was stationed at RAF Chicksands, 1972-1974, & frequently travelled into Bedford & Hitchin via United Counties bus service. These sites along High Street & the River Ouse Embankment bring back fond memories.

I have also lived in bedford almost my whole life and although some of the central bits and de parys avenue look nice, the rest of it is pretty much a shithole. too many different races constrain growth and segment the town into completely different areas (i.e. queens park; fuckin scary place) and as for the group of white man utd supporting chavs who tried to mug me the other day, i wish i was a fucking good enough fighter to take you again.
