  • I was at this show, I don't wanna disclose how much I paid for the tix (GOUGE) now I wanna see them next month in Tucson, I'm gonna sell 20% of my earthly possessions on ebay to try to finance it. Maynard, can you play a free show in or around Show Low with complimentary wine to commemorate the 100 year anniversary of Arizona's statehood?

  • My first concert was this show right here...amazing

  • I had the opportunity to see this show in Phoenix. It was one of the best Tool shows i've ever seen. Good set list, and great opening song (jambi). I wish they played more stuff from undertow, but at least they brought the house down with Flood near the end of the show. TOOL BEATS ALL LIVE!!!!

  • @heavybarz what he meant was that hes been screaming too much like in the pot and the grudge but he does have an amazing voice

  • I was there.

I was holding onto the bar seperating the crowd from the stage.

    It was an amazing experience.

  • Man..I still wished in lived Phoenix when they were there, now I'm butt-fuck Kentucky and the chances of me seeing them now is slim to none..DAMMIT!!!

  • I saw Tool in '07 at the Gorge in Wa, and I think they sounded better than a CD. They were on point, best show hands down!

  • i was at that show too! best show i've ever seen, ever.

  • I don't get why people hate on maynard when he doesn't sing like the record. I've seen them six times and well yeah...each time was different. When i saw them in DC in Sept. 2006, it was one of the most exhilarating experiences of my life. All members were so spot on. Also, adam messed up the timing on rosetta stoned two of the three times i've seen them play it. Their music is not easy to perform live. They just make it look easy.

    btw 46 & 2...best ending to a song ever...period.

  • I agree with ffgfggr. I saw them in manchester and he sounded terrible. I could not believe it. I've only heard good things about them in concert. I was expecting greatness and was terribly disappointed. My husband and I are HUGE tool fans and have been following them for forever and would not trash talk them if we weren't being serious. Maybe you guys just lucked out and he tried a little harder ( because he loves it there).Seriously, he sucked in manchester. His voice isn't strong anymore.

  • if you saw tool 10 years ago you would think differently. hes totally blown out his voice over the years. its kinda sad really..

  • I would agree that he is almost 50. By that age I hope to still be able to sing at all. I would not say that it is sad. I would just say that it is a part of life and as long as they show up to play, I don't care how bad he sounds. I love TOOL the band, not our Lord and savior Maynard.

I saw them twice back in 2001 and twice in 2006. For the sake of argument...I thought Maynard did a better job in 2006. He seemed rested.

  • @charliegrs i still like his voice, what do you mean by blown out his voice?

  • @heavybarz yeah I agree, I saw him back in 2001 and he sounds just as good as he did back then, totally awesome. I think he just tries different stuff to switch it up.

  • @charliegrs I saw them in 1999 and uhh. I think he sounds the same

  • Pleasse come back to AZ with TOOL!! hope there still touring

  • gimmie gimmie gimmie

  • this is absolutely awesome

  • damn i missed this show i was so pissed when they came and i was stuck at home with my thumb up my ass

  • I loved the whole collective feel of everyone in the stadium! All in tune! It made the whole experience so much more worth it!! TOOL ARMY!!!! Thx 2 everyone whole showed up and supported such a great band!!

  • I had tickets but my mom sold them!!!!!!!! SUCKSSS

  • I came from Tucson for that show with one hit of acid and an eight of shrooms.

    mind blowing

kinda forgot i was trippin when TOOL came on but it was all great

  • awesome, I don't understand the -2 on your comment. Lest anyone one think Tool isn't an acid band, fuckin think again.

  • I've a lot of talk about how Maynard can't sing like he used too and etc. I mean yeah it's is true but I think he did pretty good in this song. He definitely isn't high in the mix like he used to be though. Him being in the back in the dark can play with your mind too

  • THIS CONCERT ROCKED!! I think he did a GREAT job. I thought he did better then all the other concerts i been to!! plus the light show was KICK ASS!! MAYNARD YOU ROCK!!!

  • i wasnt at this show but ive seen them 5 times over the last 9 yrs and theyve (especially MJK) never sucked. period.

  • I was at this concert 16ft from Justin Chamberlin and if anyone thinks MJK is losing his "voice" they are in for a pleasant surprise. His voice has never been as strong. I've been to 9 concerts since 1993 and this was the best he ever sounded. Period.

  • Justin Chancellor

  • lols - yeah that guy. not sure what the fuck i was thinking. thanks for correction.

  • He used to be the greatest vocalist in rock. He just sings in a higher tone now, and it sounds like shit. Period.

  • ffgfggr - were you at this concert? I didn't think so. If you were you could never say he sounds like shit...certainly not at this show. The only fuck up was during Rosetta Stoned when the bullhorn mic clipped. His direct vocals were amazing. Period.

  • Will Chamberlin and Justin Timberlake reunite atlast!

  • Never been stronger? Ehhh....

His middle voice isn't as strong as it used to be, bud. Sorry.

  • they can do NO wrong.

thank you for coming to earth.

  • i saw them in lalapolooza and i was like "wowzerz!"

  • i could see TOOL play the same stuff over and over and never get sick of it. They f'n rule.

  • i saw TooL last night at cincinatti ohio, and it was one of the greatest shows i have ever seen, but it was the first time. I can see why people don't really love the tour, because it looks like the same setlist each show. maynard did have something to say to ohio though. He said "i was born here and i know there is nothing to do here so i can see why you guys would want to come out here."

  • wow i was thinking about getting a flip mino. the sound quality is amazing and the picture is just as a thought. perfect. i'm sold.

    tool rules

  • thanks bro

  • i dont care if you agree with me. it's practically the same setup. tool can keep doing what they want as long as their taking your money. they just wont be getting anymore of mine for the same old stuff.

  • thats the dumbest thing I've heard today.

  • Does anyone know what the full setlist for all these 09 shows has been?

  • man i like tool but the same setlists, same stage presence, same lights, same standing around b,s, got old in 96. if you have 200 bucks to go watch them stand around you have more money then me. i've seen them twice and im done.

  • what do you expect? for every show a full new setlist & Light effects? Its expensive and it takes a lot of time to arrange such things.

  • if 6000 people a show can pay 60 bucks a ticket i think so pal. They aint hurtin for money if that's your excuse.

  • that's not the same stage guys.

    the graphics are new to.

almost every song had new graphics

i have been going to TOOL show since the 90's

this is a new show. with mad musical talent everywhere

  • not the same lights,

    not the same screens,

    not the same graphics,

not the same arrangements on the songs,

  • you're an idiot! the lights and visuals arent the same, they changed it up, ya they didnt change the setlist, but it's tool, you're gonna get a good show no matter what, i'm sick of people bitching about this tour, they dont bitch while they're at the concert

  • im psyched to see them at Lalapallooza!!

  • me too! never seen them before! should be sick

  • I saw them in Georgia, on monday. they were fucking awesome!!!

  • Can't fucking wait, going to see them for the first time tomorrow in Charlotte, so hyped up

  • This show was fucking amazing, excellent quality on the vid!

  • that was my first tool show, AMAZING!

  • holy fucking shit.

  • no The Pot, Prison Sex or Sober on the setlist

  • i was there to that show was the shit

  • the whole band seemed to really into it that night, Justin was moving around alot as well as Adam,Maynard was on his game , vocals were great and well Danny was unbelievable !

  • Looks like he recovered from whatever was ailing him in Salt Lake City.

  • This was such a crazy show. Like the interludes and stuff... JUST SOOOO SICK. I'm real glad they came to az

  • ganna c them 2day at dallas cant wait

  • Setlist was pretty straightforward.

Jambi, Stinkfist with extended ending, 46 & 2, Schism with extended middle section, Lost Keys, Rosetta Stoned, Flood, Aenima, Lateralus, Vicarious

  • Awesome Concert, I tell you!!!

Especially loved the double drums. Is it just me or do they always sound totally great LIVE???

  • i'm so happy they brought the Talismans back on stage! i hope i get to see them along with the band august 5h at the molson theater in toronto. i have the feeling some really oold and lenghty tune will pop by..... maynard is singing better than ever!

  • What was the setlist ?

  • This show was amazing. I have to see them again.

  • Did you just walk right in with the camera? No concern for it getting denied? Or was there a method?

  • I like this stage much better than the Christmas lights they had last time

  • i was sitting 3 seats down from the video taker, my boy Defunkt. i forgot to bring my Mino HD, but glad he got the vids.

I have seen tool 3 times and this was in the top 2 concerts i have seen of all .

  • i went to that show too, it was prolly the best concert ive been to

  • that show was so amazing. Me and my buddes caught danny's stick at the end.

  • FanFUCKINGtastik!!! that's all.

    Thanks for the video

  • I was at this show front row in front of Justin. They were fucking awesome. Justin and Danny were laughing and Maynard was the best I've ever seen or heard.

He made everyone raise there hands and turn them backwards and say "Welcome"....then he said "Sheep". Hahaha

    Baaaahaaa

  • One of the best recordings (audio and video) that I've ever seen from any Tool show. Great work

  • maynards vocals sound great.

  • ya he sounded awesome that night, plus he was in a pretty good mood, didnt stop singing or anything, even sang in his underwear towards the end lol

  • I loved this show, but Fuck!! I didnt GET TO GO! NO! cuz this bastard WILLY was in my HOUSE!! on THE INTERNET and my AUNT MADE me go to the store TO GET MILK for him! but overall MY FAVORITE SONG PLAYER of the night was JUSTIN! Chance.

  • great show!! i was there! :]

  • This show was ridiculous! I will be out in Pomona to catch the tour ender also.

  • You have Aenema by chance? I'd love to hear it.

    Also, yes, great dong.

  • First tool concert I've been to, and it definitely wont be the last! Ænima was the best song in my opinion. The crowd went crazy every time he said "See you down in Arizona bay!!!" Simply Amazing Performance.

  • NO SHIT!> I GOTTA SEE THAT ONE!!!!!

  • Yeah, this "dong" is amazing. Dig it.....So wish they would play ANYWHERE close to San Francisco.....
